(The next weekend)
It was the international break and James and I had to part ways, I was going back to Portugal which was just around the corner, he had to go back home to Colombia which was a long way away. I decided to drive through the Spanish and Portuguese countryside to get back to Lisbon and see Junior and my mother, but I had to drive James to the airport first. I pulled up to his villa and honked the horn, James scurried outside and fixed his hair and smiled at me. He was wearing his Adidas Colombia polo shirt and some jeans. He opened the passenger door and let out a big sigh. I leaned over the centre console and hugged him tight, I did not want to be seperated from my Jamesito, it made me nervous. I looked him in his brown eyes and leaned in to kiss his cheek. It was warm and clean shaven. He gave me that cute, shy smile. I then backed out of his driveway and headed for the airport, I was sure going to miss my baby. We pulled up at the airport and I got out and went to the boot of the car so I could help James with his bags. I grabbed the luggage and carry on bag and set them on the pavement below.
"Jamesito, I'm going to miss you. I promise we will both qualify, I just wanna get it over with." I said, looking into James's twinkling eyes, holding back tears.
"I know babe, but Junior needs his daddy and Portugal needs its captain." he said, and he leaned in to kiss my lips.
"I guess you're right, but it doesn't make it any easier to say goodbye..." I said, kissing my lover.
I hugged him tight and picked him up for a bit. I bid him goodbye and watched as he went into the hustling, bustling airport. I started the car, let out a single tear, and started my trek to Lisbon.
