A/N I'm making an attempt at the watty awards :D
This is a sorta fanfic for the book "The Enemy" By Charlie Higson, If you don't know what it is, Use wikipedia. This is set in Dublin because I don't know London that well.
I don't own the enemy but all charries are mine, I won't give them character descriptions because I like a story that I have to imagine what people look like in it :3
And begin~
Chapter 1-
The adults had been "Dead" for almost six weeks now.
There were still some left but most were dying, Nobody knew what had caused it, They only knew sunlight accelerated the process. Now the children were left to fend for themselves.
Chris was fourteen years old. He had murdered his parents, Although it was more self defence. It wasn't like he was going to be punished, There was nobody to punish him. Life wouldn't be so bad if the adults weren't trying to eat him.
He wasn't in any groups of kids, He was still staying at his house unlike most children.
Chris needed to leave the house soon, He was starving and parched. The tap water had run dry in the first week and his father was supposed to go grocery shopping the day after it started. The only thing he had to eat was some marmalade and some nutella. Now it was only some marmalade.
He threw the empty nutella glass away. It shattered leaving shiny shards of glass on the ground.
He put the marmalade in his old school bag and looked about for a weapon.
Chris found one a colt steel blade with a D-Guard. He didn't know his father had one.
He also packed an extra pair of shoes.
He lifted the bag over his back and picked up the blade. He then opened the front door to his house and proceeded to walk out of the garden. The first thing to greet him when he walked out of the garden was an adult. Luckily for him it was an old lady so she couldn't move very fast.
Chris couldn't decide whether it would be right to kill her. He thought about how she couldn't harm anyone and it would be best for his conscience to leave her alone, So he did.
He arrived at the grocery store. The windows were broken and it looked like some adults were inside. He decided against going inside. Instead he continued walking down the road, He chose the safer option. He came across a dead police man. He got a gun from the officers belt and continued on until he came across some apartments. He decided it looked safe enough and tried to enter room 7 as it was his lucky number. The door was unlocked and there was nobody inside.
He chose to stay there for the night. He closed the door behind him. Shutting out the day light and climbed into bed.

Chloe ran from the horde of adults chasing her.
Lance, Her boyfriend had just been eaten alive by them.
He was the one carrying the weapons, All Chloe had was a knife and a pistol with one bullet left.
She thought about using the bullet for the adults but decided against it in case she needed to "end it". Chloe ran into an alley way only to have her hopes of survival smashed when she saw the brick wall in her way. The adults had already blocked her only way out of the alley way, She was trapped.
An adult dropped dead as blood gushed out of its head. Chloe stared at it puzzled as more began to drop. Soon they lost interest and left the alley chasing a group of three kids. Chloe pulled out her knife and stabbed all the dead bodies in the head just to make sure they were definitely dead.
The three kids soon returned and lead Chloe to an apartment block. They said they were bringing her to their hide out. They opened the room 7 door and they were surprised to see a kid they didn't know in the bed. The kid jumped up "What the hell are you doing in here?!" One of the kids beside Chloe said. "I was just looking for a place to stay" The kid answered.
"Fine, You can stay here for a while. Name's George, That's Bobby and Lucy." George said.
"I'm Chris, And what's that girls name" He said refering to Chloe.
"My name's Chloe" She said.
Just then they heard roars from an oncoming horde.
George shut the door while Bobby and Lucy moved the bed up to the door.
George shut the curtains and ordered everyone into the bathroom.
They climbed into the bath and moved a matress above them while they waited out the horde.
