"We're sorry, Lily." Katelyn said frowning. Katelyn has short brown, curly hair, light brown eyes, golden skin, and she's 5'4. She's got an average body build. She's currently wearing a pair of worn out jeans and a white blouse with yellow patterns on it.

"Yeah, we have to go. It's a big part of our grades." Isabel said sympathetically. Isabel has long, golden blond hair, which is currently in a ponytail, she's got bright blue eyes, a fair skin tone, and she's 5'5. She's wearing dark blue skinny jeans and a red tee-shirt

"Don't be sorry." I said sighing as Ella braided my hair. We're at her house hanging right now. Ella has long dark brown hair with light brown high lights in it, she's got dark brown eyes, pale skin, and she's 5'3. Her face and arms are covered in freckles and she wears glasses. She's currently wearing black leggings and a bright pink shirt that says 'Hello' on it. "You can't help that Mrs. Stanley is making you guys go on a class trip. You should enjoy it, don't worry about me."

"Lauren and Michael won't leave you alone tomorrow." Katelyn said worriedly.

"Don't remind me," I said rolling my eyes. "Honestly though, they don't scare me."

"It's just unfair that you have to deal with those jerks just because you're not in the same class as us." Ella said, and I could hear the scowl in her voice. I chuckled.

"Really, it's okay." I said grinning. "Besides, there's nothing those jerks can say or do to hurt me."

"If you need me to, I can call in sick tomorrow." Isabel offered.

"You're sweet, but I don't want you to have a bad grade because of me." I said squeezing her hand. She and Katelyn were sitting on either side of me on the floor, while Ella is sitting on her bed. "Besides, your mom hates me enough as it is."

"Yeah, we don't want to give her another excuse." Katelyn said rolling her eyes.

"It's not your fault, Isabel." I told her smiling. "So, don't worry about me. I can take care of myself."

"Okay. Just call us if something happens, okay?" Isabel said frowning.

"I will, I promise." I said squeezing her hand again.

"Done!" Ella announced.

"Thanks, Ella." I said grinning up at her.

"No problem, girl!" She said getting up. I got up and stretched a little.

"Girls, it's getting late. I don't mean to kick you out, but it's time for you go home." Ella's mom said walking into the room.

"Okay, Mrs. Hoffman." Katelyn, Isabel, and I said at the same time.

"See you tomorrow, Ella." Isabel said before the three of us were booted outside.

"Are you sure you don't want to stay the night at my place?" Katelyn asked me.

"Yeah, I'll be fine." I told her. "Thanks for always looking out for me." I hugged her and Isabel.

"You're our friend. We'll always look out for you." Isabel said smiling. I decided to sleep in my usual spot at the park I always go to.

Derek's P.O.V

It's a beautiful Friday morning, and Derek is out and about walking Clooney around. He stopped to let Clooney sniff around and suddenly, a girl walked into him. "Whoa!" Derek said as he stopped her from falling. He looked her over and saw a bunch of scratches and bruises. Her long black hair looked like it had been in a braid previously but was pulled out. She had startling blue eyes and pale skin. Freckles dotted across her face. If she was standing up straight, she'd come up to Derek's chest. "Are you okay?"
