CHAPTER 19
“Wow! This place looks awesome!” said Sandra with great excitement as they all looked up at on old building with a black exterior and purple pink neon lights over the door of the building.
The lights were in old fifties writing that laid up vertically. The words read Late Night. It almost looked like some type of bar, and not the kind with just boos. Skyler tilled her head trying to get a better look at the place where Dave then said,
“It looks better from the inside.”
Skyler then looked up at him as he smiled and walked up to the door of the building. Sandra and Sam both walked up behind Dave as they all then turned to face Skyler who felt unsure of the place.
“Com'on Sky. Live a little.” said Sandra who gave her a sassy smile.
Skyler then shook her head as she sighed. Whatever she was going to encountered inside that place she knew it was something that will leave a big mark in her life as a new kid in L.A. She just hoped when she entered school nothing to shocking will happen to her, then again she could have thought differently it.
As they entered the place Skyler notice the who place black. The tables, the walls, the chairs. It was total goth and blinding. At least the tables had small vases with colorful flowers. When she looked closely at the place again she realized that the interior was better than the out. There was something about the inside that made it look cool and rebellious. She smiled as a waitress wearing all black and a small bright pink apron walked up at all of them and said,
“Hey. Welcome to Late Night. Please follow me to your table.” the girl then picked up a sack of menus from a small podium in the front of the place.
They all then followed her to the center of the room where a lot of people paid most their attention to the front. Skyler looked at everyone then followed their stare. A large black stage with colorful neon lights stood in front of the room. Large flat screen T.Vs sat on every corner of the stage and one in front of the stage facing the opposite direction from everyone. Two microphone stands sat perfectly together in front of the screen. Small amplifiers lined all around the apron of the stage, making it looked very professional and spontaneous. Skyler smiled energetically as she looked at the stage. The feeling of buzz ran through her stomach with excitement as she wanted to go out there and try it.
Dave then pulled on Skyler's hand where she then jumped out of instinct. She then jerked her head to face him where she noticed a worried expression across his face. Maybe going with then wasn't the best idea, especially in her condition.
“You alright?” asked Dave as Skyler looked down at her hand and noticed she was shaking. In fact her whole body was trembling.
She looked back at Dave and swallowed hard trying to keep herself calm and relaxed.
“I'm fine.” said Skyler as she then pulled up a chair next to Dave and Sandra.
What was happening to her. Ever since she arrived to L.A she has been having strange feelings and uncertain emotions about things. She knew well that L.A was much more dangerous that S.F, but the feeling of not knowing exactly what she was really dealing with made it feel more dangerous and scares.
