Hazel had an awful sleep. In a small floorless tent with two blankets as a bed and her jacket as a pillow, she tossed and turned all night, but every position she tried, something was always pinching her back.
Not to mention the moans and grunts coming from Bellamy's tent next door that didn't fail to keep her up. Honestly, she wasn't sure how Murphy slept through it all.
The next morning, while Hazel was still sleeping, Wells set out to collect the extra clothes that he and Hazel had forgotten last night. As he was making his way back, Atom, one of Bellamy's men approached him.
"Hey, where'd you get the clothes?"
Wells reflexively tightened his grip on the bundle, "Hazel and I buried the two kids who died during the landing, last night."
"Smart, you and your little Hazel," Atom smirked, reaching for the clothes. "What are you, dating now?"
As if on cue, a very messy haired and swollen faced Hazel emerged from her tent rubbing her eyes from the bright sun, "you guys, it is way too early for this. What the hell is it now?"
"Oh, look here, it is Wells' little girlfriend." Atom teased. Wells averted his eyes from the girl in embarrassment, and Hazel looked up at the two boys in confusion, still squinting because of the brightness.
The girl groaned, dragging her hands down her face, "oh I knew I should've stayed in bed."
Atom snickered and turned back to Wells and the bundle of clothes in his arms, "you know, I'll take it from here. There's always a market for—"
Wells shoved Atom's hands off, "we share based on need, just like back home."
"You still don't get it, do you, Chancellor?" a new voice said, and Hazel turned to see none other than a shirtless Bellamy Blake emerge from his own tent with a half-naked brunette attached to his hip. Hazel audibly gagged when Bellamy leaned down to kiss the girl and she scampered off. "This is home now. Your father's rules no longer apply."
Bellamy ignored Hazel's obnoxious gag and walked up to Wells. His very shirtless body was radiating heat, and when he stood next to Hazel, she took a couple tiny steps away from him.
Bellamy snatched a shirt from Wells', who tried to grab it back, only to be locked by Atom.
"You want it back? Take it," Bellamy threatened, and Hazel rolled her eyes at his 'authority'. She was sick of everyone always disagreeing and fighting, and it was definitely too early in the morning to deal with everyone's problems.
As soon as Clarke got back, Hazel was more than happy to hand off her responsibilities to the girl.
Wells glared back at Bellamy for a long moment, before tossing the jumble of clothes behind him to let the delinquents fight over them. "Is this what you want? Chaos?"
