Melody's POV
"My flight is here. I have to go beautiful." Corey said before he grabbed me by the waist and kissed me. At first he was gently kissing me then it turned into something more deeper as our lips moved together.
He broke away and started walking backwards towards the exit to the plain. "Bye be save and I'll miss you." I said as I blow him a kiss probably looking like a total idiot.
Once I couldn't see Corey anymore I headed back towards my own exit. Julia is waiting for me in the car seeing as she's going to give me a lift home.
She didn't want to come in because she wanted us to have a few moments alone.
I never knew how hard it would be to say good bye especially when I don't know when I am going to see him again.
Hopping into Julia's car, I am heading back to my place which is going to feel weird when I get home.
"So how was your time with Corey? I'm sorry I couldn't get out and visit much. I had my hands full at home." Julia spoke as she headed towards town.
"It was good, I actually don't know what I'm going to do to keep myself busy while his gone." I spoke while looking out the window trying not to cry even to upset to blush.
"Well I have instructions from Corey to keep you busy. So today we are going out for brunch and a little catch up." Julia spoke.
"Thank you, I hope your not to busy through?" Why does saying goodbye have to be so damn hard. "Don't be silly sweetie, your Corey's girlfriend which makes you family not that you weren't before."
She stopped in front of a little cafe, I grabbed my handbag before I meet Julia by the entrance to the cafe.
We choose to sit at a table near the back so that we could have some privacy. Which is a good thing because I don't know how long I'm going to be able to keep it together.
"What do you feel like?" Julia asked while looking over the menu. "I'm thinking about having the fruit salad with crapes."
Giving the menu a quick glance. I'm not really that hungry seeing as my stomach is doing back flips.
"I'll have a choc chip muffin and hot chocolate." I don't know if chocolate would be the best for an upset stomach but I think I need a bit of chocolate therapy.
Julia hopped up to place our order. I pulled out a paper napkin and started to fold it up trying to make I don't even know what.
Julia grabbed a hold of my hands, and giving them a tight squeeze. "I know how hard it is to say bye to someone you really care about but just remember it isn't bye forever."
Before I could reply our food was placed in front of us. It does look yum but after spending time with Corey nothing compares to his cooking.
After silently picking at my food I gave up once I realised after one actual bite that it was bland and stale. The hot chocolate was a bit better though.
"What do you want to do now that you finished school. Have you thought about it? " Julia asked while trying to distract me.
"I haven't thought about it but I know I need to get a job so that I can keep up with my bills." Since they seem to be coming out my ears.
"Hmm I think I know the perfect job for you. I'll have to make a call though. Then I'll talk to you about it but before I do. How do you feel about opening your own little shop?"
Is she serious? I have always been interested in quirky things. I have been collecting quirky stuff since I have been little, but then Julia didn't mention what kind of shop.
