When Life Was Normal

I was getting off the bus and entering the school. I squint my eyes trying to keep them open in the sharp cold air. It felt like I was being dragged in by chains. I looked down, tired. I entered the building feeling the warm air against my skin. I felt, for a moment, comfort. It was then lost when I realized where I was. I cringed at the sound of shoes squeaking from the rain outside. I quickly walked into the cafeteria and sat by my friends. I couldn't understand what anyone was saying. I was in my own world. Then, someone entered my world. She broke my bubble.

"Hey!" Sarah greeted me ecstatically. I just did a half ass hand gesture thingy. "How was your weekend?" I said it was okay but it wasn't. I just wanted to sleep it off but school had to be like "HEYYY! YA MISS ME?" LIKE, NO I DIDN'T FUCKING MISS YO- *Cough* Sorry...I got a bit carried away. Back to the boring story...

"OKAY?!" I just shrugged. "WHY WASN'T IT-" She was cut off by a teacher telling me to take my hood off. I honestly don't understand why that's a rule. It's so stupid. This is stupid. School is stupid.

Sarah was talking to me but I just spaced out everything she was saying. I was back in my world. I wanted time to stop. I didn't want to go to class. First period is the worst. She bursted my bubble when I heard her say...

"Are you okay?" Why was she asking me that? "Why?" I just then realized the shocked expression on her face. I was so confused. "Is there something on my face???" I swear if it's food...

Time slowed down. She wasn't just shocked. The expression I saw on her face was horror.

Shit...Am I that ugly?
