"They finished interrogating my dad" Lucy latched onto her purse even tighter. Natsu and Lucy walked side by side to school. He looked at her, "what happened?"
Lucy sighed. "I got good news and bad news. Which one do you want to hear first?"
"Good news!" He immediately said.
She gave out a smile, with a slight laughter, knowing he would want the good news first. "Okay. Well my dad is going to prison."
"Lucy! How is that good news? I know he was a horrible person but now you got no-" Lucy waved her hand in front of Natsu's face. By now, they had stopped walking. "Don't ruin my bad news." Natsu stared at her with confusion. Lucy took a deep breath, "I was put into foster care...." Natsu felt his heart ache. "I'm so sorry that you're going through this." He pulled her into a hug. "It's okay. There's nothing you could've done to change it." Lucy gave a smile. I can't tell him just yet...
~
She wanted to change the atmosphere so she exclaimed with excitement as she pointed ahead of their direction, "lets race to the school!" Natsu smirked, "oh you're gonna wish you didn't ask that." They started to run.

Lucy stood there, out of breath. Her hands remained on her knees as she panted in front of the school building. She looked back at the path she took. "Hahahaha! Told you I'd win!" Lucy smirked. "That's not fair! You had a head start." Lucy defended herself, "I did not!" They both just broke out into laughter.~
Lucy placed her hand under her chin as she stared out the window. "Luce?" Natsu whispered, trying to call out her name. But she just stared out the window. "Luuuce?" He taunted. She quickly averted her head in surprise. "Oh um sorry! I was just dazing off." He looked at her with worry, "are you okay?" Lucy nodded her head. I have to tell him today...but when?-
Natsu's POVLucy was sure acting weird today.
I laid down on my bed with my phone. I started searching the web for memes because I was bored and didn't have anything else to do. Well I probably have homework but who does that anyways?
Blink
A text?
I clicked the notification and it brought me to the texting app. Oh it's from Gray.
You said goodbye to Lucy already, right? I know how forgetful you can be so I just wanted to remind you!
What does he mean by saying goodbye to Lucy...?
No....! Wait!! It couldn't be....
I quickly jumped up from my bed. I got my shoes on but didn't bother putting on a jacket. I head downstairs and rushed out the doors. It was freezing but I didn't care. I continued to run.
Lucy...

Regular POVNatsu finally arrived at Lucy's front lawn. He slowly walked up to the steps. His hand reached out for the door knob. He hesitated with fear of opening it. The door creaked quietly as he slowly pushed the door open. His eyes remained shut until the door was fully opened. They widened at what he saw. The whole living room was empty. There wasn't that turquoise couch that remained by the small coffee table. There wasn't a brick fireplace to the left of the room. No paintings. No pictures. It was empty and cold.
Natsu walked inside, slowly, hesitating on each step he took. He shut the door behind him.
He looked around the living room. He then walked towards the counter in the kitchen. His eyes examined the area until he came across a card that was folded horizontally on the counter. It was an ordinary piece of paper, nothing fancy. The front of the card read Natsu.
He picked up the card slowly. He just stared at his name. He waited a while before opening the card and reading the note.
Dear Natsu,
I'm sorry I didn't have the guts to tell you this in person. I wanted to, I really did! But I couldn't bring myself to doing so. If you're reading this, it means that you already realized I was gone. Let me explain. Remember how earlier I said that I was put into foster care? Well, I got into a foster home. But it's all the way in Hargeon. So I had to move there. Today was my last day at school. And it hurts so much knowing that I'm never gonna see you again. I can't even write this letter. Seriously, look at how sloppy my handwriting is. I'm shaking so much. Oh you'll never believe who I'm living with now. Apparently she is Michelle's mother and she told me that when we were little, Michelle and I were like the bestest friends. If that is true, then I have to wonder why Michelle was always mean to me. Maybe you can find out the answer for me! Ok, now that that's said, I wanted to thank you for everything you've done. Ever since I joined this school, you have always been there for me and that made me so happy. I was afraid that everyone would hate me or not want to be my friend, but you showed me how to make friends and talk to everyone. I could never thank you for what you did! This has been an amazing year thanks to you. Goodbye, Natsu!
Sincerely,
Lucy Heartfilia <3Natsu felt his heart break into a million pieces. A tear unknowingly fell onto the paper. Natsu voice cracked as he attempted to say the words, "please don't go." He then noticed something else written at the bottom.
I love you
Damn't Lucy!! You can't just leave! Not without a proper goodbye.
Natsu dropped the card on the floor as he raced out the house. He ran, hoping to make it to the train station before it closed. But as he ran, he began to realize something, he doesn't even know where she lives or anything like that. He needed to think logically. He stopped walking halfway to the train station. He stared at the sky. It started to slowly snow. His legs began to weaken and he fell down to the ground.
"Damnt Lucy..." his voice ached in pain. As he held back his tears.
