The next day, I woke up to the sound of my phone ringing.

“You know the bed feels warmer,

Sleeping here alone.

You know I dream in color

And do the things I want”

I was really tired; yesterday had been really eventful. I couldn’t also forget about the Cannes event coming soon… I couldn’t wait.

I looked at the caller ID… Huh. An unknown number. Whatever.

“Hello?” asked a husky voice from the other end. Oh wow.

“Hi?” I practically squeaked.

“Uh, sorry is this Rita?”

Ooh! He was asking for me?! This must be my lucky day. In my best seductive voice I said, “Yes… this is her.” Rawr.

“Oh, hey it’s me Harry. Looks like you have a cold, huh?”

“Oh no, no! I don’t… how are you?” Gosh, I’m such an idiot. At least he couldn’t see my now purple-with-embarrassment face.

“Oh, well anyway, I was wonderin’ if you wanted to go for a coffee with me…”

I was mesmerized by his accent and his deep, rough voice.

“Rita, you still there?”

“Yeah, I am.” I’m such a fail.

“Listen, how about you meet me at the Starbucks down at the Plaza?” I could hear a smile in his voice.

“Yeah, I would love to! Now? Okay, see ya!” I hung up. Oh my gosh!! What should I wear? Causal or formal? We’re only getting a coffee! Oh my gosh, oh my gosh!! I’m freaking out here!

I quickly dialed Victoria. “Get over here, NOW!” I barked, and I didn’t even let her say anything.

I ran to my closet and I flung open the doors. Nothing good was in there! WAS THIS EVEN CONSIDERED A DATE? OH MY GOSH!! Stop freaking out, Rita!

My bedroom door swung open. A crazy, bloodshot-eyed Victoria stood there wearing nothing but a nightgown and converses.

“This better be important,” she snarled, her nostrils flaring. Oops… I forgot she wasn’t a morning person…

“Okay, it is! HARRY ASKED ME TO JOIN HIM FOR COFFEE!!” I danced around, and soon Victoria joined in.

“No way, girl!! Ahhh, you two will be so freaking cute together! Sipping coffee and stuff!” she jumped up and down like a maniac and shrieked loudly.

“But I don’t know what the hell I’m going to wear! Should I go sophisticated or sleek?” I grinned.

Vic finally sat down to catch her breath.

“Okay, first things first, Ri.  You should wear what you feel comfy in! Not some sleazy outfit, right?”

“RIGHT!” I stopped bouncing too, and walked back to my closet.

“Second of all, weather plays an important role in outfit-choosing. Did you look outside this morning?”

I walked towards the large window when suddenly a bolt of lightning streaked across the black sky. Loud thunder followed closely.

“Damn, I hate this weather,” I grumbled, but Vic only shook her head.

“Ri, this is some serious cuddling up weather… he’ll hold you tight and whisper sweet nothings in your ear… awh!  How romantic!”  Vic fake-swooned onto my bed. I laughed at her.
