*10 years later* -- Caitlin’s 87, Harry’s 88, Louis’ 90

It was 10:00am. I picked up my umbrella and put on my yellow raincoat. The rain was pouring down. I put on my gum boots, grabbed my house keys and walking into the garden. Even though I had everything rainproof on, I still managed to get soaking wet. I went over to the blue flowers in the garden and picked a bunch. I took them back in the house and wrapped them in coloured plastic paper. I once again made my way outside.

I walked across the street and up the big hill trying not to fall.

“Excuse me Mrs. Styles” A young male jogger came up to me. I turned around in confusion. “What are you doing? Go back inside. I’ll do it today” It was my neighbour Josh.

“Hello Josh, no need to worry. I do it every single day of every single year. I’m sure I can manage even today” I called out continuing to walk.

“Well I won’t be too far away if you need me Mrs. Styles” He called but I couldn’t hear very well because of the sizzling noise the rain made as it landed on the ground.

It was about a 5 minute walk to a wonderful park. The grass was always green and there was always children smiling and laughing. The park went for a few km but at the end was a cliff face over looking Sydney Harbour. Harry stayed there now.

I walked up to the stone as I do every day. I removed yesterday’s flowers that were now dead and wet, and I placed today’s new flowers there. As usual I read out loud the stone:

“Harry Styles 1994- 2082

1/5th One Direction

“I’ve always wanted to be one of those people that didn’t care that much about what people thought of them, but I just don’t think I am”

Whenever...Wherever...Forever”

I looked down at the stone and a tear fell from my face. No one could tell though because of this rain.

“Mrs. Styles, can I walk you home?” Josh grabbed my hand as we walked in the rain back to my place.

“Care for a cup of tea love?” I politely asked as I unlocked the door.

“No thank you. I know tea is special to you” He smiled.

“I hate tea” I laughed.

“I know, I’ll just make sure you get in okay” He smiled.

“Thank you Josh, you’re a wonderful neighbour.” I smiled back as he waved to me running to his house.

I made myself a cup of tea and sat on the porch. I took my three rings off and sat them on the table.

*Flashback*

He opened the box revealing the prettiest silver ring I’d ever seen in my life. It had four diamonds sticking slightly up. On the back engraved was ‘Caitlin & Harry 2012’.

“If nothing’s permanent, we don’t have to grow old together, have kids, travel, make a life, and have a career. We can do it all in steps. And right now, I want you to be my girlfriend.” He slipped the ring onto my finger.

“Last time we talked like this we were about 12. We didn’t know what it meant by having a boyfriend or girlfriend and by now, we’ve both learnt allot. Caitlin, I love you to the moon and back. Every time I see you I feel nervous yet comfortable. When I hold you I don’t want to let go. I’ve got your back baby. Whenever, wherever, forever...” He picked me up and spun me around kissing me. I felt forever protected. I was decided... I was officially in love with Harry Styles.
