Uchiha Sarada adjusted her glasses back in place as she flipped to the next page of her book, her pencil scribling down every important details that she was sure to appear in the incoming test next week. But it was hard to try and put all her focus in her studies when there was a noisy
ruckus in the corner of the classroom."But what if---" She heard Inojin say.
"---Are you kidding!?" Came Boruto's loud voice.
Sighing of frustration, Sarada dropped her pencil and whipped her head to the source of all the noise, ready to shut them up or punch them if need be, only to find them all staring back at her.
"Shit! Hide it!" Inojin pulled the group in a closer circle and turned his back on Sarada, suspiciously looking like he was trying to hide something and pushing it away from her sight.
She lifted an eyebrow in surpise. She definitely did not expect that reaction when she was the one ready to shout. The way their bodies hugged closer and their voices in hushed whispers really looked suspicious. But whatever their problem was, it was all good as long as they keep quiet so she pushed her attention back to her notes.
But somehow Sarada couldn't stop herself from picking up the little words that was loud enough for her to hear.
"Can't know... or her dad...!" Is that Boruto's voice?
"Regret it later if... so just..." That's definitely Inojin.
"Doesn't matter, but..." Shikadai, maybe?
Suddenly, someone gently tapped Sarada on the shoulder and she turned to look at ChoCho.
"What?"
"Oh, nothing..." ChoCho let out a dramatic shrug, "Just, you know, waiting for things to unfold."
Sarada quirked an eyebrow in confusion. "You've been really more laid back today. Did Shikadai rubbed off you?"
"Please don't make a joke like that." Chocho looked sincerely disgusted.
Sarads broke into a small fit of giggles, until someone suddenly slammed something on her desk right in front of her. She jumped on her seat in surprise.
"What the he-"
"Here." Boruto said nonchalantly before stuffing his hands in his pockets and looked down at her seating form in disinterest.
"What is this?" She asked as she stared at the small object on her desk, wrapped in a blue fabric with the Uzumaki crest on it?
"Himawari wanted to give you this as a thank you gift for fixing her doll. It's homemade lunch."
"Oh." Was the only thing that came out of her lips. It was only then that she realized the whole classroom went silent, as if waiting for something to happened, until she decided to let out a small "Thanks."
Then that was it. Boruto walked back to his group of friends and Sarada continued to read her book.
She swore she heard loud disappointed groans from all over the room.
