The memory of the smell of hot chocolate comes down the hall, traveling airborne like an infectious disease, no not a disease I know what disease is like and it's not that. I stare at the living room, last year at this time it would be filled with light and decorations, a tree and presents under it. Now it look bare- not bare just hostel, the furniture is turned upside down the window busted. This place was once home, now I don't even recognize it. The world is filled with corrupted, the walking dead. Why did I, a 14 year old, survive? Easy, because I was born half dead. It started with my father, he would never tell me the whole story just that it happens in an accident with my grandparents sines equipment, it gave him the ability's of a ghost, which he then passed on to me. 3 months ago the went out for a two hour trip which turns into a monthly trip, that is of course because the infection broke out. I pull the map that is residing in my pocket and fold it out, I look it over tell I find the red dot that i placed on it, Amity park the place where my parents grew up and where my grandparents currently live. That's where my parents were going, and that's where i'm going. I turn the lock to the door over and here the click of the unlocking of the door.

Once I step an inch outside I'm swarmed. The corrupted come from every direction, of people I know, faces I love. They bite me trying to corrupt me but I don't feel a thing. I send a chill of energy through me and make my hands glow a haze of green and punch them away. I bolder through the crowd tell I get to the subway, and shut the doors. I go through the empty tunnels tell i find the abandoned subway train, I jump on and find my way to the conductors station and start up the train, I have been taught how to pilot a rocket so this is easy. I flip a few switches and start my way down the track to amity park.
