BAMBI MICHAELS often wondered why she always happened to be the desperate call at 2 a.m. someone made when their little life had just seemingly fallen apart. The young witch had heard every manner of sob story there was - brokenhearted fools wanting revenge, desperate couples wanting children, loved ones dying of this or that, weak men and women seeking money, power, love, protection. So it really didn't surprise Bambi when an old friend reached out for a desperate favor. 

His request was rather simple: protect him and his pack from the hunters.

However, as Bambi tries to uphold her side of the bargain she begins to realize that nothing about Beacon Hills is ever simple. Especially when giant lizards, an army of hunters, and a certain baby beta cause her to question everything she thought she knew.
