chapter 3

(Asli POV)

" Mom I am going bye" , I shout as I exit my house.

I reach uncle Adam's taxi stand and get ready for the day. Uncle Adam was my father's very good friend. After my father died I asked him to let me drive one of his taxis and he agreed. Actually he treats me like his daughter so he had to agree to my request. I wait there for any customer who would enter my taxi. Finally a man appears but unfortunately the person I hate the most to be frank the most troublesome person that is my rival Ben appears out of nowhere with his taxi and starts asking my customer to enter his taxi. He tells him that he would not like a lady driver like me. And God be merciful , that man agrees with him and enters his taxi. we get into a quarrel. Uncle Adam comes to my rescue and gives him a good lecture. I am happy but I am no more in the mood to drive the customer to his destination because of his earlier behaviour. So Ben rides him there. After a while an old woman comes and so my day's work begins. I start the engine of my taxi and begin the day.

(Baris POV)

" How could he hide this from us for so long", I am angry with Hakan's behaviour. How could he be so irresponsible. I am just hoping for the  best and wishing that the girl is okay and her family has not found out that I am the owner of the car. I am waiting for Teo to reach me as soon  as possible.

After one hour Teo arrives with the news. He tells me that the girl was alive but the doctors say that she will not be able to walk temporarily.  He tells me about her family that she has a grandmother, her father and her died when she was two, she had two aunts and the only working woman in her family was her elder aunt. Her name is Asli and she is a taxi driver. Actually the last part amuses me. How could she be a taxi driver. I am not against women working at their will but I think that it is a risky job.

"Teo let's  go and meet her", Teo agrees and we leave the house.

I was just hoping for the best. And expecting that everything goes smoothly.
