"So you said no?" Cassandra asked after Flynn told them all the story.

"I... I had to come back to you," Flynn said. "But I plan on going on a new... mission,"

"No!"

"I have to," Flynn said this sharply. He sighed, an expressions that said he was sorry and regretful clear on his face. "I'm sorry," he said softer.

"Why? Why can't you just stay and we all have a peaceful day?"

"Because that's not what a librarian does. Now if you exsqueeze me..." he said, pushing past them to his workspace, "I have to get going and packing."

"Flynn!" Eve said, following after him. She closed the door to his office and watched as he went around the room, getting objects and putting them in his messenger bag.

"Why is it...?! You know what, fine then. Go off to Wonderland or wherever you're going and have fun."

"Eve," Flynn said, going up to her and hugging her. He lifted her chin and kissed her, holding her close. When he broke away he said, "I'm going to be gone for at most three years, Eve. I'll always come back to you," he promised, kissing her again. He continued packing and went out to to the back door.

"Listen. I was thinking... you all would be much better off without me." Flynn said.

"No!" Flynn only nodded at their protests.

"I'm going to take something to Olympus and return in maybe at most a year, if they're not fighting and whatnot. Because it will be so long, I don't want you to..."

"Flynn."

"I have to do this. This is my decision.
I will hopefully return with at least exact replicas of certain weapons the gods use."

"Flynn."

"Would. You. Just. Shut. Up. You aren't going to a place where oh will no doubt get vaporized-"

"I'm not going to get vaporized!"

"An no offense but you are most likely going to annoy them all-"

"Not Athena!"

"Flynn you can't go."

"Come here," Flynn sighed the sigh of a quitter. When they all came close he said, "I'm also glib to be in Maine for a while. I shouldn't be back for maybe at most two years. I'm going to have to erase your memories of me. You'll sill have the memories, just not me. It's better if you don't remember me." Flynn smiled sadly at his LITs and guardian. Jenkins was there too, and he stopped Flynn at this point.

"So you're going to leave me all alone with these four for two years?!?!"

"At most? I just need to talk to the Olympians and with Maine they are having an extreme magi problem... one I've never seen before."

"Yep, he's going to nerd out."

"Shut up Jones!"

"Stop fighting!" Flynn shouted at Eve and Ezekiel.

"Promise you'll come back?" That was Cassandra.

"Yes. You all mean too much now for me not to come back. I'd rather go to Luna ten see you be alpha-less."

"Oh so that's how we're playing!? We're not wolves!"

"Don't care. Now drink this..." Flynn gave them all a drink, which they all held in their hands. "Drink it." He commanded. They did, and as they did he stepped through the back door so that they wouldn't see him.
