I glance over at Leon who was looking out the window. I remember the day I met Leon. To be honest it was only a few days ago.

**flashback in leons POV**

"Agent Kennedy this is who will be escorting you in your mission. She speaks fluent spanish and could be a useful asset on your first mission" My superior tells me as he hands me a file.

Her name was blacked out. I looked at the photo clipped to the file. Long black hair that framed her thin face. Her exotic blue/green eyes popped, even in such a small photo. She had a thin face. She was very beautiful.

"What's her name?" I ask.

"That is classified you are to call her Ava. Its a code name she chose.

**Ava's flashback**

I fix my black pencil skirt and white blouse, I stand up as a blonde man walks in. Great, another pretty boy...

I meet him in the center of the room, my heels clicked on the floor as I walked.

"You must be Agent Kennedy." I say and shake his hand. His blue eyes roam every inch of me. I try to act like I didn't notice.

"Just Leon is fine. You must be the mysterious Ava." He says. I nod blankly.

Leon lets go of my hand and looks me over again. I only let things like this slide once. "Hey, eyes up here Leon." I say and furrow my brows. He chuckles and looks away, embarrassed.

I grab the file of Ashley on my desk and walk with Leon to another office. I hear a snapping sound before I see the ground come closer.

Before I know it, Leon is holding me in his arms. I look down and see my heel is broken.

I curse to myself and look at Leon. "Thanks." I say and separate myself from him.

**End of flashback**

I roll my eyes and look at the Spanish Officers in the front seats.

The Spanish Cop in the driver's seat scoffs. "Why am I one who always gets the short end of the stick?"

The Spanish Cop in the passenger seat glances back at Leon and I. "Yo, who are you really? Come on and tell us."

Leon stays quiet, I just look out my window and stay quiet like I always am. "You are a long way from home, cowboy, you have my sympathies."

Leon pipes up. "Guess that's the locals' way of breaking the ice. Anyway, you know what this is all about; our assignment is to search for the President's missing daughter.

The Spanish Cop in the passenger's seat is obviously shocked. "What!? All by yourselves?" He laughs.

Leon starts up with his smart ass humor. "I know you boys didn't tag along so we could sing 'Kumbaya' together at some Boy Scout bonfire. Then again, maybe you did."

The Spanish Cop laughs. "Ah, you crazy Americans. It's a direct order from the Chief himself. I tell you, it's no picnic."

"We're counting on you guys." Leon says.

The two cops look at each other and shrug.

They pull over the car so the cop in the passenger seat can take a piss. Me in my usual mood, I get a little ticked off.

We should be looking for the Presidents daughter, not strolling about and literally pissing our time away.

I was always a straightforward, nose to the grinder type of girl. I get shit done because I don't dilly dally.

The driver offers me and Leon a cigarette. In unison we decline the offer

The cop comes back from his piss break. "Sorry it took so long." He says as the car takes off.

The car crosses a bridge and stops. "Just up ahead is the village." The driver says.

"We'll go and have a look around." Leon says.

"We'll stay and watch the car. Don't want to get any parking tickets." The second cop says.

"Right...parking tickets." Leon mudders. I try to hide my laughter.

"Good luck." The driver says. Leon gets out of the car, I follow close behind.

"Geez, who are these guys?" Leon asks. "I dunno. But whoever they are they seem a little... Well... Incompetent." I say. He chuckles.

The First cop rolls down his window. "Did you say something?"

Leon then gets a call from his radio. The radio is a GRVT Visual Radio, meaning that Leon can see who is calling him. The person that's calling him now is his support, Ingrid Hunnigan.

"Leon, Ava. I hope you can hear me. I'm Ingrid Hunningan. I'll be your support on this mission." She says.

"Loud and clear. Somehow I thought you'd be a little older. So the subject's name's Ashley Graham, right?" Leon asks.

"That's right. She's the daughter of the President. So try and behave yourself, okay?" Hunnigan says.

Leon scoffs. "Whoever this group is, they sure picked the wrong girl to kidnap."

"I'll try to find more information on them from my end as well." Hunnigan says.

"Good. Talk to you later. Leon and Ava out." He says and ends the call.

**3rd person POV**

As Leon and Ava approach the house, someone inside watches them. They enters the house and find a man tending to the fire in his fireplace. Leon holsters his gun. "Uh, excuse me. Sir?" He says.

Leon pulls out a photo. The man, Don Esteban, turns to face Leon from his fireplace. "I was wondering if you might recognize the girl in this photograph?" He says and shows him the picture of Ashley Graham.

"Que carajo haces aque? Lergate, cabren! (What the hell are you doing here? Get out of here!) Esteban shouts angrily.

"Sorry to have bothered you."  Leon mutters. As Leon pockets the photo, Don Esteban picks up an axe.

"Leon!!" Ava cries out as she sees the axe headed for him.

Leon sees this and rolls out the way as Don Esteban attempts to bash him with it. Leon has his gun out and aimed at the advancing Ganado.

"Freeze! I said freeze!" He yells repeatedly to warn the Ganado. Ava has her gun drawn and aimed at Esteban.

Leon pulls the trigger and Esteban falls to the floor lifeless, the truck outside starts up.

The truck peels off, heading for the parked cop car. Shouting and gunfire is heard, followed by a crash, and the sound of the two vehicles splashing into the river.

"Shit!" Leon yells and gets another call from Hunningan.

"Is everything okay?" She asks. Ava was listened in closely but didnt speak a word.

"There was a hostile local. I had no choice but to neutralize him. There are still others surrounding the area." Leon says.

"Get out of there and head toward the village. Take whatever measures necessary to save the subject." Hunnigan says.

"Understood." Ava says.

Leon looks over the edge. In the river, is the trashed truck...as well as the cop car.

"Oh, no..." He says. "My god..." Ava mutters under her breath.

As Leon and Ava arrive at the village, he gets another call from his support.

"Leon, Ava. How ya holding up?" She asks. "Bad question, Hunningan." Leon says.

"Sorry to hear that...I'm sending you both a map of the village and surrounding areas. I hope you find them useful." She says. "Thanks, they will." Ava says in a relaxed tone.

Ava and Leon hide behind a tree and scan the village with a pair of binoculars. It looks like a normal village...that is if you don't count one of the cops being impaled and burned at the stake.
