"California?!" Louis Tomlinson could not believe his ears.

They were moving to California?

"Isn't that in like America?" Louis exclaimed to his mother who had sat him and his seven year old sister Lottie on the couch to distribute the bad news.

She nodded resting her hand on her producing belly. She was seven months pregnant with twins.

"Why?" Louis asked tears starting to from in his eyes. He blinked quickly not allowing them to fall. 10 year olds don't cry.

"Your father and I are getting a divorce honey, you know that. We thinks it's for the best that he stays here and the three of us go to Cali." Jay spoke her voice soothing.

Louis pouted throwing himself back into the couch cushions and crossing his arms over his chest stubbornly glaring at his mom.

"Well I'm not going to leave Harry."

"Honey you have to"

"No I don't! I'll sleep in his room on the floor."

"I don't think his mom will particularly like that sweetie."

Louis groaned in frustration. "What about school? I'll have to leave all my friends!"

"You'll make friends in America. I promise." Jay answered starting to look a bit tired.

"When do we leave?" Louis asked sitting up.

"Yeah I need to know so I can pack all my dolls." Lottie spoke for the first time beside him.

Louis rolled his eyes and looked questionably at his mother.

She sighed "in 2 Days on Friday."

"WHAT?!" Louis yelled standing up in shock. "Friday?"

"Yes Louis, Friday!" His mother snapped her hand over her eyes.

That's when Louis let the tears fall. Before his mother said anymore he had his coat in hand and was running out the door.

It was freezing out, it being mid winter in Cheshire, England and his breath was clearly visible as he ran through the snow 6 houses down to Harry's house.

He rang the doorbell and hopped up and down on the porch of the large house trying to regain feeling back in his toes. The tears on his face had frozen and he wiped them away, refusing to let Harry see.

"Oh hello Louis!" Harry's mom answered the door and opened it enough for Louis to squeeze by into the warm house that smelled pleasantly of Christmas cookies.

"Harry's up in his room." Anne said taking his coat and shoes.

And Louis was off with a hurried thank you, bounding up the stairs and running down the halls he had grown so used to in the past years.

He stopped in the doorway to Harry's room. Harry was lying on his bed shirtless, his curly brown hair a mess, DS in hand, and his back to Louis.

As usual when he saw his gorgeous best friend is heart sped up a little and he resisted the urge to-

NO STOP THAT LOUIS STOP

Kiss

STOPPPPP

Yes Louis is gay.

And it was all Harry's fault! Being best friends with Harry for years was hard. He was so outrageously handsome, tall, bright green eyes, strong muscles, great body and-

AGAIN LOUIS STOP

But it's didn't matter anyway. Harry was the straightest person he had ever met. *sigh*

Louis was nothing in comparison. He was often bullied for his petite figure. He was small for 10 years old and it was terrible.

He hadn't come out yet. That wasn't even an option. He often heard his parents comments of gay people. Gross, disgusting, not right. Little did they know each word they spoke burned another hole through their sons heart.

Louis shook his mind of his thoughts of  his gayness(is that even a word) and sprinted into Harry's room.

He jumped as hard as he could onto the unoccupied part of Harry's bed sending the boy flying, a high pitches girlish scream echoing through the room as he landed on the floor in the other side of the bed.

Louis collapsed in laughter onto his bed snorting in laughter as he caught sight of Harry's disgruntled but yet beauti- nooooo Louis! face.

"Oh your gonna regret that Tomlinson." Harry growled picking himself up.

"Oh am I Styles?" Louis responded grinning.

Harry let a war cry and dove at him wrestling him off the bed. They had wrestled often and there was never a time when Harry didn't win. This time was no different.

"Hah." Harry said grinning his hands pushing Louis' shoulders into the floor preventing him from making an escape.

"Cmon Haz." Louis whinnied using his nickname for the lad. "Let me up you prick."

"I'm not a prick your a prick." Harry said smugly in his best American accent.

That's when Louis remember what he was really there for.

"No seriously let me up I have to tell you something."

Harry removed his hands and stood up holding g put a hand to pull the smaller boy up with him.

"What is it boobear?" Louis mentally groaned at the use of his mothers nickname for him.

"One. Don't call me that." Louis said sitting down on the bed and gesturing Harry to sit next to him.
"Two.....I'm moving."

The words were hard to get out and the tears were threatening to fall again so he put his head down looking at Harry's bedsheet tracing the patterns with his pointer finger, unable to look up at Harry.

He hadn't spoken in 2 minutes when Louis finally decided to look up.

Harry's jaw was open wide, his eyes brimming with tears his face complexly in shock.

"Your leaving me?" Harry whispered his mouth trembling.

And then Louis was crying and Harry joined in and they cuddled each other and that's how Anne found them 3 hours later crying into each others arms.

                                  2 Days later
"Promise you'll text me every day! No! Every minute!" Harry said.

It was dark out early in the morning about 5 and freezing. The tip of Louis' nose probably already had frostbite. His mom had finished packing up the car with boxes and Harry had come running over from his house to hug Louis good bye.

"I promise Haz." Louis responded blinking at Harry in the dim light.

"Pinkie." Harry said holding his up.

Louis linked his own with Harry's and said

"I promise"
