best things happen while youre dancing (donghyuck x jordyn)

it was a late winter night. the kind of winter night where you would choose to cuddle with your loved one instead of braving the battle outside. whether it was christmas or not, the magenta-haired boy always picked white christmas as a winter movie to watch (unless jordyn had something else in mind, but it wasn't always guaranteed that he'd agree with it).

his hand laid against her shoulder as he was the big spoon to her little one, making sure to not make her uncomfortable. they watched as the characters lit up the screen, a smile on donghyuck's face as his eyes seemed to dazzle. his favorite song was about to come up and he was more than prepared to act out whether jordyn wanted to or not.

as if the movie was listening to him, the song then appeared. one of the main male roles dancing with one of the main female roles always made him giddy, due to the fact dancing was one of stronger skills and he thought the song was adorable. his hand glided over to the remote as he paused the movie.

"why did you pause it?" the girl laughed as she sat up. a rather confused look on her face as he stood up and held out his hand for her. his face seemed serious but yet at the same time in a jokingly way.

"you're funny." she rolled her eyes as donghyuck grabbed her wrist and pulled her close to him. chest to chest as he intertwined his fingers with hers.

"i know i'm funny, but i really want to recreate this scene jagiya." his voice was almost like honey as her cheeks darkened, a grin on his face as he planted a kiss on her forehead due to their obvious height difference.

"are you seriously going to dance with me...?" she hasn't danced in a long time, even if she always hoped to be able to. it just never came into action to get back into dancing. her eyes glanced up at him as his slim face nodded, proving he was serious.

"look, i'll even provide vocals." he cleared his throat and did a quick vocal warmup that caused jordyn to chuckle in secondhand-embarrassment. he gripped onto her hands tighter and looked down at them.

"you know what they say about big hands." he joked as jordyn shook her head. "it's feet dumbass, big hands just mean you need bigger gloves." she corrected him as he rolled his eyes.

"that's besides the point, nerd" he said, furrowing his eyebrows as he unpaused the movie and went back into position. he wrapped his right hand around her waist as he glided along with her.

he sang as he spun her around. her cheeks turning darker by the second as she became more and more flustered. she couldn't believe he was doing something so cheesy in their PJs where the original dancers wore almost ballroom-like clothes. but she couldn't lie, she actually really enjoyed this time he was spending with her. while being on tour, she barely saw him. not only that, she was in south korea through the whole ordeal, so it wasn't like she had many english speaking friends and she only knew the basics of korean as the couple taught each other.

for dancing, soon becomes romancing

his voice made her giddy as he swung her softly side to side in his arms. almost a carbon copy as the man in the movie. he then let go of her as if he was about to do a solo move, which he was.

even guys with two left feet,

if by chance their cheeks should meet

he then moved his feet side to side as if to mimic two left feet, which she believed was oddly hot. as if she had a thing for goofy dancing. (which she didn't, it was just the dancer.) he then moved towards her as he crouched to rest his cheeks against hers and began to slowly waltz with her to the beat.

the song was then over as he planted a kiss against her cheek. a wide smile spreader across his lips as he paused the movie once again.

"so~, was it just as magical as you expected princess?" he cooed as he played with her hair. she didn't want to admit it so instead she rolled her eyes as playfully kissed his cheek.

"it sure was my 'prince'." she chuckled as donghyuck pouted. it was hard having someone almost as (maybe even more) sassy and petty as he was, he always wanted to be the top but jordyn always got him beat once in awhile.

"well i'm beat, im going to bed." jordyn yawned as she walked towards there room. trying to hide a smile on her face so donghyuck wouldn't be satisfied with what he did.

but before she knew it, the kpop star had swiped her up into his arms. "a princess should never have to walk if her prince is nearby." he spoke in a taunting tone as he carried her into their room. soon tossing her onto the silky bed, a goofy grin as she snuggled into the covers.

"incoming!" he yelled before jordyn had a chance to prepare, his body was then belly-flopped onto the bed. almost seemed like he was about to break it in half.

he scooped her into his chest as he rested his head on her shoulder.

was the last thing she heard from him before she dozed off into her sleep. dreaming about ways that she could one-up him.
