Chapter 9

Cam's POV

I was in my room thinking about Maggie. Thinking about my life without her. I couldn't do it. My life would be so different. I would miss her so much. I need to at least make an attempt to keep her here. I walked down the stairs to see my mom at the table paying the bills.

"Hey, uh, mom? Do you have a minute?" I asked hoping she would stop what she was doing.

"Oh no honey, these bills are just too fun, I can't stop now!" She said sarcastically.

I laughed a bit. "Okay okay.. so you know Maggie, right?"

"OH YES! I love that girl like she's one of my own! You know, I really missed her." She exclaimed. This brought a huge smile to my face.

"Yeah, me too! Well, you know how she's moving back to her old house. Well, she doesn't wanna go, and I don't want her to go either. So, um I was-"

"Wait, hold up! She's moving?!? Why??"

She asked desperate for an answer.

"Yeah, her dad got fired, and they can't afford their house anymore. So, they have to leave." I said getting kind of upset..

"What? wait, no she can't go!" My mom basically screamed.

"Mom! I know! I was going to ask if she could stay with us.."

"Is that even a question?? Of course she can! It will just add a member to our family. I mean, she basically already is."

"YAY! MOM I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!! THANK YOU!!" I exclaimed. This is amazing! I really hope her family is okay with this.

I decided to text her.

Maggie's POV

I was sitting on my bed while scrolling through Instagram. I saw a picture of my best friend back home, and my sworn enemy, who bullied me, might I add. The caption said "Love her! My life would never be the same if you weren't here!" Apparently, my old friend, Jessie, posted it. I was really confused. When I was there last, Jessie told me she hated her and never, ever be friends with her. I was going to send her a text, but then I got a message from Cam. I instantly clicked on it.

Cam 😊: Hey, I have great news!

Me: Yayyy! That is just what I need right now!

Cam 😊: Great!

Me: Sooooo are you going to tell me or what?

I love messing with him. It's so much fun.

Cam 😊: Oh... yeah.. I guess I could tell you.

Me: Alright, shoot.

Cam 😊: Well, I talked to my mom and she said that you could stay with us, AND SHE SAID YES!

This was great news!! I won't have to go back to Connecticut! I can stay here with Cam! and even better... I GET TO STAY IN THE SAME HOUSE AS HIM!

Me: YAAAAAAY OMG THATS SO EXCITING!

Cam 😊: Ik! Should you ask your parents tho? they might not be okay with it..

Me: Yeah I guess I should. I already know what the answer is going to be. They don't really care about me, so they'll probably say yes.

Cam 😊: Aw don't say that! They love you!

Psht... Yeah right..

Me: Yeah, I guess

I ran downstairs, and saw my mom eating salad at the table. I went over to her, and just came out with it because I knew she would be happy about it.

"The Dallas family said I could stay with them while you guys go back to Connecticut. So can I?" I could see she was trying really hard to keep her happiness in.

"But Maggie! well miss you so much!" She dramatically said pretending she actually cared. My mother is not like normal moms'. You see, she reminds me constantly that I was a mistake, and that her life would be so much better if I wasn't born.

"Sorry, but I'm basically an adult." I said going along with this little play called my life.

"Okay, I trust you." She was completely smiling ear to ear by now. I am too. I'm used to her not caring. I ran upstairs to tell Cam.

Me: She said yes. Told you so!

Cam 😊: 😆 So happy right now

A/N: Hey guys long chapter! I think.. lol. I might not upload tomorrow cuz I have softball, and then a Memorial Day party that goes till like midnight. haha but you never know I might get bored. Well happy Memorial Day! Hope you're enjoying the story.
