On her way home from work, she heard some shuffling and a whimper come from the alleyway.

Slowly, she moved closer holding her phone and bag closer to her body.

"H-hello?" She asked. "Is Anyone There?" As she moved closer she heard quick movements and a low Growl.

Her eyes widened as she quickly moves backwards. 'was that a dog..? What if They're starving..?'

She carefully moved forward, placing the still warm food she had gotten from work onto the floor.

Getting up quickly she hurried walking back to her apartment.

'I Hope they eat it..'

As she lied on her bed, she couldn't get her mind off of what she had heard in the alleyway.

"Was the dog okay..? Was it a puppy? No.. the growl was so low and intimidating... I don't think that was a puppy.. Was the dog injured?"

Groaning, she rubbed her head before pulling the covers over her body.

'god... I need to stop thinking so much when I need to be sleeping..'

On her way home from work again, she stopped by the alley again.

Hesitant, she whistled out for the dog as she moved closer to the alley. Same as yesterday a low growl was heard followed by a quiet whimper.

They are still here

Smiling to herself, She quickly puts the bag with the food down. As she walked away from the alley, she smiled hearing the rustling of the bag.

As she walked into her apartment, she wrote herself a reminder to bring food my the alley on her way home from work.
