Whoever it was that told me college would be so much better than high school was absolutely right. Despite the fact that I lived off campus with my fiancé, I was still living the college life. My classes were harder, naturally; but I didn't have seven classes that met every single day. It was easier for me to space out my homework and focus on the big important things. I was taking all of the generic freshman classes that were insanely boring and I had no clue how they were going to relate to my real life, but I had to take them to graduate.

To say the least, I was thriving.

I hadn't made many friends because I didn't live on campus, but there were a few girls in some of my classes that seemed pretty cool. We had a study group a few times before two big exams and I got B's on both of them so I was psyched. One of them had mentioned a sleepover a few times but I wasn't sure if she was just saying it to be polite or if she actually meant it. I didn't want to be annoying and ask.

Zayn had been working at his new job for a little while now and he was absolutely loving it. There weren't as many dangerous calls as he had been getting at his old job, which made me happy. I wanted him to stay as safe as possible but it was kind of hard to ensure his safety when he was the one who was supposed to be keeping everyone safe.

He planned his work schedule so that most of the time he would work when I had classes and then once a month he had to pick up a weekend shift. Those were annoying but it was better than working when I was home alone.

We were pretty close to finishing decorating the house and it was an absolute dream. Zayn let me pick out everything and he said he didn't care as long as I was happy. We pretty much had the same sense of style so it worked out pretty well.

I laid in bed scrolling through my phone instead of facing my responsibilities. It was my favorite morning ritual on the weekends because I didn't have to get up and rush around getting ready. I could chill and take three hours to get ready if I wanted to.

I had gone to bed relatively early the night before because of a pounding headache and thank God it was gone now. I don't know if I would be able to do anything if I still had the headache.

I heard footsteps coming from downstairs and I put my phone down and rolled over so I faced the door. I smiled as I saw a sweaty Zayn come up the stairs. He had ordered a bunch of work out equipment because he wanted to get more in shape. All of the guys at his new job were around his age and they were much stronger. He was faster and leaner than them but he wanted to be stronger.

"How was your workout?" I asked as he came into the room.

"Exhausting," He smiled and took his shirt off. He threw it in the hamper and started taking his shoes off.

"You're looking bigger," I smiled at him. He had gained at least ten pounds of muscle and he really did look bigger. "Still as sexy as ever though."

"You say that every time you see me with my shirt off," He chuckled and walked over to me. He sat on the bed and rested his hand on my hip. "Is your headache gone?"

"Yeah," I smiled back at him. "I think it was just a stress headache...with finals coming up and all of that."

"It's crazy that you have one week of classes left, babe. I'm so proud of you," He leaned forward and kissed me softly.

"Blegh, you smell!" I pulled away with a giggle.

"I was just about to shower; would you like to join?" He winked and I shook my head. He frowned and squeezed my hip.

"I just showered last night."

"You know I wasn't specifically asking you to shower, right?" He ran his fingers through his hair. I nodded and he stood up. "Well, I'll be in there if you change your mind."
