Sorry its kind of rushed I just am wanting to get to the good stuff already and tonight’s my first night summer vacation so I want to go out and have some fun I promise better from me in the future <3

“Your parents said yes!?” Ruth shrieked at me while jumping up and down. I had just told her that my parents agreed to let me go on this school cruise type thing. She was doing some sort of weird happy dance. I couldn’t help but laugh at her. I didn’t even bother to say it wasn’t a big deal and that my parents encouraged me to do things like this. She might ask why and I severely didn’t want to have to explain to her why my parents pushed me to be more social to go out more to go on some round the world cruise with a school I had been at two days now with people none of us actually knew a thousand miles away from my home. I guess this is my home now. Ill have to get used to it. To leaving everything from my old life behind.
I sighed heavily and she stopped doing her happy dance. “Are you ok?” she honestly sounded worries. I gave her a small smile and told her I was alright just jet lag; it wasn’t too bad just adjusting was difficult. Little did she know I hardly ever slept, too afraid of what might slither its way into my subconscious. She didn’t seem to notice me in deep thought as she shrugged and grabbed my arm to pulls us towards the guys. She continued to jump up and down and tell them how I would be attending the cruise.
Nick and Jonathan did a happy dance impersonating a girl-such as Ruth- as best they could. The sight was very humorous even some of the other students stopped to stare. I guess I hadn’t realized that not too many parents let their kids go on the cruise so far there was only about 100 kids or so going out of the couple hundred kids that went to this uppity high end private school. Throughout the day I learned some of the places we would be stopping.
We would be traveling down to for a few days then to the American states around New York. Most kids were severely excited about going to America I for one never wanted to set foot in that country again. Then to the Jamaican islands through the Panama Canal and then to India and around to Australia finally the lower half somewhere in Africa and just to have a special treat I learned they added in a stop to Italy this year even though it was out of the way since there were too many kids going this year they didn’t find it to be too much of a hassle. Then finally back to London. It was a long trip that was supposed to last almost three months.
Luckily it happened during the “summer” break here. Which happened to be a few days from now. I know it was kind of pointless to start school right before summer but my parents wanted me to make friends before summer so I wouldn’t continue my hermit crab act. As the days flew past Friday was quickly approaching. I became closer to my new friends and the trip was set for Monday. Me, Ruth and the guys were set to go on a shopping spree Friday night to pick up some outfits to wear to the different countries. Ya know to blend in to the new scene.
I sighed in relief it was finally Friday. I had made it through a very boringly boring week at this lame private school. Wondering the halls looking for something to do while I waited for the school bell to ring to tell us that summer was here I started thinking of home. The things I missed, like fireflies, lying under the stars on my roof, my families home made gumbo. My mouth was watering at the thought of some country grub. I may not be stuck with too much a southern draw, well not that I let anyone hear anyways. No one knew this but I tried really hard to sound normal. My new friends surprisingly didn’t have the typical Londoner accent I was expecting them to have so I didn’t want to give away I had a horrid accent myself.
Not paying any attention, someone slammed into me. Hard. We both went crashing into a wall of lockers then slid down to the ground. Had the person been running? Shesh we hit the wall hard. I winced as I rubbed my head. I looked over my shoulder to see who had rammed me so hard to yell at them. But when I looked into those deep blue eyes, they looked worried and held sympathy. We sat there for a few moments in a silent staring contest. I must have won because he shook his head rubbing his black skinny jeans off while standing quickly.
