I walk out of the theatre with my best friend Janet. The sun had just set over the horizon and we had to walk all the way back to our sectors. Janet is from the sector of the Independent and strong. Other wise known as Aneses. It's easy to tell where she's from because of her shoulder length brown hair and the way she dresses. Dressing more like a Tomboy than anything else. Her hair is usually worn up in a pony tail she says it "keeps the stupid hair out of my face!" She also has a slight temper and a non caring personality. That is with most people. I'm the exception though. She's always had a soft spot for me, despite all the times I've annoyed her.

I'm from Caponi, the Creative and Open-Minded sector. It pretty much goes like this, when you're born you are placed into the sector with your parents. You are then injected with the serum that gives you these specific traits. For example, I was injected with the traits of the Caponi (creative and open-minded). But my mom told me that the night I was injected, I coughed up the serum. That means I still have the basic traits but I can also choose to be someone other than a Creative person. Mom said this is a weakness to the Capital and told me to keep my mouth shut about it. If they found out they'd have me killed.

Fandoris is made up of six sectors. Caponi, Creative and Open-Minded. Aneses, Independent and Strong. Mita, Kind and Selfless. Deltan, Sophisticated and Strict. Ironis, Careless and Resourceful. Then you have Starni, which make up the Capital. Starni are made up of the leaders of each sector and their families. I think they're trait is arrogant, spoiled and snobby. Now in case you're wondering where things such as theatre and stores and businesses are, that's the Commons. Smack dab in the center of the sectors, it's a place where everyone roams. How you can tell who belongs to each sector is by a ring on their finger with a gem of certain color and the sector name engraved on the inside.

"That was a pretty good movie if you ask me." Janet says, walking next to me.

"Yeah..."

"Emmy are you okay?" She looks at me, concern on her face. I nod and take a look to my left. I see a few rainbow colored lines move across my vision to outline a figure in the street. However, the figure somewhat transparent. I quickly look away. I'm always seeing things like this. They give me these horrible headaches too. I didn't bother to tell anyone because they'd call me crazy and word would get out.

At last, we reach the gates to Caponi and I wave goodbye to Janet before taking a few steps in. I'm greeted by the smells of food from in the houses and bright colors splattered all on the houses. I reach my house after walking for another few minutes. Before I even walk into the house, I can hear my younger sister and brother arguing over who gets to use the last of the clay. The moment I walk in, my mother stares at me with her dark brown eyes.

"Emeline, will you go to the market tomorrow and buy some fresh clay from Elda?" I nod and walk to my bedroom. Streamers hang from the ceiling along with hanging lights that light up the room beautifully at night. Above my bed is a large painting on the wall of a Sakura tree. I walk to my bathroom and take off my brown contacts. Everyone in Fandoris has brown eyes except for me. I stare in the mirror at my shining blue eyes and golden hair. If people saw my eyes, who'd know what'd happen to me. They were brown when I was born but around the age of four, they turned blue. That's also the same time Mom said I started seeing things.

~The Next Morning~

I got up bright and early to go to the market. On my way through the Commons, I pull out a pocket mirror and double check my contacts are on right. Seeing they are, I place the mirror back into my purse.

"Emmy!" I look ahead to see Scarlet waving at me. Her pink and blue bangs that hang on the right of her face shimmer in the light. It makes the rainbow colors pop against her midnight black hair. She belongs in Ironis. You can simply tell by how carefree she is. She stops just short of me and holds out her hand.

"I got my Sector Ring cleaned today!" Scarlet holds up her ring, the red gem shines brightly. I stare at my shining blue gem on Capori's sector ring. It doesn't need cleaning. I smile back at Scarlet.

"It's very pretty. Mine doesn't need cleaning yet." I say showing her my own ring. The blue gem shines brightly in the sunlight.

"Where ya headed?" she asks me as I continue walking. She steps and walks with me.

"To Elda's shop." We continue to walk in silence. Before long, we arrive to Elda's stand. The old, plump woman smiled as we approach her.

"Emeline Dalands. How are you today young lady?" She brushes a strand of grayish hair from her face.

"Very well, Elda." Elda turns her head to Scarlet.

"Very nice colors you've added Scarlet."

"Thank you." She smiles and Elda turns back to me.

"More clay I assume?" She bends and pulls out a couple jars of clay in a basket. "still wet from the riverbank. Sunny got it himself, he did."

As if on cue Sam, better known as Sunny, walked out of the house and approached us. Sunny is Elda's grandson that stays with her to care for her and help with her shop. He gives a breathtaking smile any girl would die to see and I can't help but return with my own. His eyes are a light brown and his hair a sandy blonde.

"Hello Emmy. Didn't expect to see you today." He says.

"Didn't think I would be out today." He laughs shortly at this.

"Well, while you're out, care to take a walk?"

"I have to take this clay home first." I hold up the clay.

"Very well. I shall go with you." I pay Elda. Then, Sunny and I wave to Elda and Scarlet before walking back to Capori.

~That Evening~

The day went by in a wonderful haze. I thought I was dreaming through half of it. Sunny and I spent all day walking. The sun was about to set when we stopped at the gates to Capori.

"That was really fun, Sunny!" I say smiling, beaming with joy.

"We should hang out more often." He says, running a hand through his hair. I get a glance at his sector ring, the yellow gem representing the Kindness and Selflessness of the Mita, seeming to glow in the soft moonlight.

I was about to respond when we hear a woman scream and turn towards the sound. It came from across the street. Without thinking I rush towards the scream, Sunny saying my name repeatedly in a rather loud voice. I turn the corner and see the shimmering lines once again outline a figure. I stagger from the pressure that quickly built in my head. Leaning against the wall I saw the figure hold out it's hand to the blond haired woman. In a split second, the woman dropped like a sack of potatoes to the sidewalk. I watched as she, seeming in slow motion, falls to the ground. A pool of crimson blood floods around her. My scream of horror gets coughs in my throat and I only manage a small squeak. I run back towards the gates of Caponi, back to Sunny. As I hung closely to him, one thing repeats in my mind.

The woman's eyes were green...
