*yawn* as I wake up the sun peirce my eyes. 'Morning sunshine' says Jake. What have I done?

'You hungry I can take you out for brunch.'

'Brunch what time is it?' He looks at the bedside clack and smiles '11:30, why?'

'Oh good you have got to get out of here they will be here any mintue' I say standing, and grabbing his clothes. Throwing them at him I start the panic. *Know Knock*. There is a knock out the door. I look out the ceiling to floor window to see both of my adopted parents, and the lady from the adoption agency. The worst part, the child I want to adopt. Ugh. 'Get up now! Get out. Go through the back door go go go' Finnaly Jake get some pep in his step and get going. I rummage through my closet quickly to find my most expensive dress. being a model has perks, but also it's down falls. *Ding Dong* they ring the doorbell. 'Coming!' I yell out, as I run down the stairs.

Coming to an abrupt stop in front of the door I take a deep breath, and put on my best smile.

*Creak* the door opens, and there she is a beautiful 4 year old girl by the name of Emma. Of I managed to not screw this up she would be my little Emma. "Hi!" I saw excitedly" everyone come in come in." They smile and enter the foyer. I lead them to the den and let them get comfortable, while I go to the kitchen to get some refreshments. Eve, my adopted mother, tags along to 'help'.

"Who was the man coming out the side door?" She asks.

"What man?" I say trying to plan it off.

"You can't live like this you need to get married. You can't just have random men roamimg around tour house if you have a daughter. Especially an adopted one. Things are starting to look up for you don't screw it up by being sleazy, and sleeping around. Do you know what----" I cut her off by walking back to the den with glasses of lemonade in a platter. Smiling I say "Hi Emma!" She smiles shyly and sips her lemonade through a straw, "My name is Emily. Do you wanna come play dolls with me?" She nods and hops off the couch. I lead her to the lay room I set up for my daughter a few years back when I was pregnant. I ended up having a miscarriage, which devastated me for years, so I slept around tried to get pregnant. I went to the doctor to find out I couldn't get pregnant again. So I decide to adopt. I opened the closet to show Emma almost 50 different dolls, stuffed animals, and toys. She giggled happily and chose some for us to play with.

After about 30 minutes or so the social woman form the agency walks in a request to speak with me. I nod.

"Emma, sweetie" she turns to look at me "I'll be right back okay you can keep playing"

"Okay" she says as she continues to play with the toys.

"So from you application, you are highly qualified, and your parents speak highly of you. You seem to interacting well with her. Do you get her to talk to about some of the things that she likes?" She asks

"Well yes she really likes Italian food, spaghetti to be specific, and her favorite color is blue, just to start." I say knowingly, hoping it was enough to convince her.

"Well then looks like you are doing just fine now it is up to her I'll go in and talk to her." She says with a big smile. She walks in and sits next to her. I pace around just outside the double doors. Emma is smiling and so is the social worker. Suddenly the woman stands and walks towards me. "Well" I say. She pauses and looks me deeply in the eyes. "Well," she says.
