THANK YOU FOR 1000 READS!! YOU ALL ARE TOO AMAZING <3333
I just realised, two of my books have scenes where the two characters' families meet and have dinner together. *facepalm* But don't worry, they are not similar in any other way!

C H A P T E R S I X
From my peripheral vision, my mom's eyes flickered the two of us questionably. "Do you two know each other?"
I could literally feel the tension radiating off my mom and dad. One wrong move, and I'd be shipped off to India. Crap what do I say, I'm a terrible liar!
Stefan opened his mouth to say something but I beat him to it. "Y-Yeah, because we're lab partners in biology!"
I silently thanked Mrs Louise for making us lab partners, and cursed her at the same time.
My parent's suspicious facial expressions visibly relaxed. Phew, that was close. God knows all hell would break loose if my parents found out that I was talking to a boy for anything other than educational purposes.
Stefan looked at me confused, but thankfully didn't say anything about it. Instead, he stepped aside and warmly said, "Come in."
My parents nodded and slightly smiled at the dangerous boy before stepping inside. I followed suit, not daring to make eye contact with him.
He closed the door behind us, and lightly tugged at my wrist. However, there was no way I was going to communicate with him — especially in his own house, where he knew all the places he kept his murder weapons hidden. So pretending to not have felt the tug, I continued to walk ahead, until he called out my name.
"Spicy!"
Or what he thought was my name.
Cursing under my breath, I turned around to face him, plastering a forced smile on my face. "Stefan. Hi." I squeaked, peeking behind me to see that my parents were nowhere to be seen.
Oh crap, I'm alone with the murderer again.
"Hi." He smiled adorably, causing me to unconsciously smile back. Dammit Raiya, get your head together! He caught up to me within three strides, the smile on his face not once flickering. Wow, he's really good at manipulating. "So, lab buddies, huh?"
Instantly, my smile dropped as I remembered that I'd have to work aside with a murderer for the rest of the year. I had a feeling that the universe hated me a little too much, and should really tone it down a notch.
I sighed. "It's true. Mrs Louise wanted me to tell you that we're going to be lab partners in biology from now on." Unfortunately.
Stefan knitted his brows together in confusion. "You're in my biology class?"
I imagined myself grabbing the potted vase on the small table and smashing it over my head. Oh for the love of Gandhi!
Too scared to answer him as I feared for my life, I twisted on my heels and bolted down the hallway. What the heck are you doing, Raiya?! Now he's definitely going to put the puzzle pieces together and figure out all the lies you told him, and then he's going to be so mad that he'll have no choice but to kill you!
