I don't know what happened. I remember falling asleep. Am I dreaming? What's going on?
I look around my room. It looks old, abandoned, and messed up. A shiver runs down my spine. I hear yelling coming from outside my room. I don't want to see who's out there yelling. I know who they are.
"Well Kellin is 17 now, let him boss himself for once! He doesn't need you to yell at him for every little thing he does!" My father yells. "He will make bad decisions! I don't want him to get into trouble!" My mother yells back, louder.
I sigh and walk to the bathroom, doing my ritual of looking in the mirror thinking about how much trouble I cause my parents, then open the shelf and reach it to pick up my blade from behind the bottle of lotion.
Then the room shakes and I drop my blade. It fall into the drain of the sink an I curse. The room stops shaking. Mirrors appear out of no where on the walls around me. Then they shatter. And all the pieces fall to my feet and stab into my ankles and feet. Pieces slide down my arm cutting into my skin.
I spring from my sleep. I don't know what to think about my dream. I shiver. I lay in my bed with my arm covering my eyes. Pain shooting through them but I don't care. I lay in the comforting darkness of my room.
I uncover my face soon as the light turn on. "Wake up, you got school." I hear my annoying mothers voice fill the once comforting silence. I groan and sit up from my bed.
"I'm up." I snap. She walks out of the room without saying another word. I throw the blankets off of me and get up off my bed and go to my dresser. I open the top drawer and get a solid black long sleeved shirt, then close the drawer to open the one right underneath it to pull out a black pair of ripped jeans.
I quickly change and grab my bag off my desk along with my phone then jog down the stairs into the kitchen. "Nice to see that you're down early, Kellbell." My mother says. I roll my eyes at the nickname. "Yeah, I know right." I say sarcastically. "Please don't call me Kellbell." I say. "I'm heading out early." I walk out the front door quickly so no one can stop me.

I walk into the school, doing my daily routine of going to my locker, getting my stuff, then going to the lunch room to hang with Vic, Alex, and Andy, my best friends, until the bell rings to tell us to go to Home room.

I sit in the back of the math class room doodling on a piece of scrap paper while ignoring the teacher. Like most people, I hate math. I think we should only be taught shit we'll actually use in life, and I don't think I'll be using angles while making music.
Andy hits my shoulder, making me face him. "Dude look." He says and he points to the front of the class room. "A new student." He whispers.
A girl stands at the front of the classroom nervously. The principal is talking o the teacher about her. "Mr. Joseph, this is Y/n L/n, she's new to our school." Mr. Wentz gives information about her to the teacher. She stands with her arms crossed and her head down while shaking as if she's going to be hit at any moment.
I look down at my paper and start to draw again. There's no point for me to be listening in on the conversation.
"Bostwick." Mr. Joseph calls my name, making me look up at him. "Y-yeah?" I stutter. He motions me to walk to the front of the class. I stand up from my desk as anxiety fills me and walk to the front of the class. "This is Y/n, will you help her get to all of her classes?" He ask. I nod, "Yeah, uh, sure." I say. He thanks me and I go back to my seat. Y/n takes a seat next to me slowly, like she's unsure that she's allowed to sit here. I start to draw once more. I can see Y/n looking at my drawing from the corner of my eye but say nothing.
