The bright full moon casts its light upon the dreary fields and man's road. Bitter cold air nearly freezes the ground as your small and shiny light seeks its way through this icy night.

You left Elfhelm long ago and although its a paradise for the most humans and creatures, it supposed to be a golden Cage for you since your fate wasn't the one of an ordinary fairy.

At least you are free...capable to fly wherever you want. The most adult humans can't see fairies. Only a few children sometimes turn their heads when you fly by.

"At least I am free...." you repeated your own thoughts just to distract your self from the fact, that you feel very lonely in this cold, cruel land which is so different as the paradise you once called home. For years now you walk man's road . The children you tried to befriend with mostly were told by their parents, that fairies are not exist. They start to lose the ability to behold such things like fairies and wonders. In a world which is shattered by war, famine and death there is probably no place for a little fairy like you?

Your tiny wings became very heavy and tired during the cold night until.... you reached a clearing, framed by sharp rocks. The Moon brightened up this place so well, that you immediately saw some wolfs lain on the ground between the rocks. The smell of blood pierced through your nose as you flown closer to the obviously dead wolfs.

But between the dead bodies huddled a small frame under a ripped piece of fabric.

At first you thought it was a wolf pub...but as you winged closer you saw a little boy under the fabric. He trembled because of the cold and the many injuries which covered his body.

"Hey little boy....What happened???" you asked with your high but soft voice as you flown right in front of his face. The Boy startled and crawled backwards, away from you.

"W...What the...? Go away...DON'T touch me...y..you glow worm!" he snarled at you. His greyish eyes were wild but also scared, like the ones of a cornered dog, ready to bite every hand which tries to touch him.

"Hush...I don't want to hurt you....and who are you calling a glow worm???"

Softly, you land up on his small shoulder. At first the boy recoiled....but as you sat down on his shoulder, it didn't felt like the touch of a human being, which he seemed to fear so much. It was like a comforting warmth and a soft, feather-like stroke on his skin. The wound on his shoulder on which you sat immediately stopped hurting since your fairy dust had a healing effect.

"I'm a fairy." You softly continued your words.

"A fairy.....?" he asked doubtfully. He always though fairies and mythical creatures doesn't exist.

In his young life, there was never room for fairy tales. No one ever cared for him, not even the man he called a father. He knew nothing but fighting to survive with a sword in his bare hands.

"I...Should...have died..." he whispers with a broken and weak tone in his voice.

"Who...said such horrible things???" The boy does not answered your words but his eyes fix the ground

"Listen! NO one has the right to tell you such things! Its YOUR life. And you are the only one who will decide when it will end." you energetically start speaking.

Carefully the boy's look raised from the ground into your small face.

Now your lips started to form a soft smile. Tenderly you snuggle against his cold cheek, spending him a bit warmth.

"What's your name?" He asked you.

"I am Oona (or place your name here). And you, lil wolf?"

He hesitated a few seconds before a faint smile flashed over his face.

"Guts. The name is Guts.... Oona?"

The boy named Guts asked you again

"Yes, Guts?"

"Can...I keep you?" he softly whispered and presses his cheek against your warm glow.

The expression on your face became warm, almost motherly as you looked into the eyes of the little brave boy

"If you want..."
