The Big Secret-After the War (Percy Jackson short story)

It is over.We won.

Percy couldn't even believe what he was thinking.

After a long time,searching for the ways to defeat Gaea,figthing for their lives,Percy and his friends were exhausted.They had to carry on even if they were at the edge of the road.They kept struggling,they kept losing their loved ones.But they didn't give up.They believed in each other.

Some left them,some are left behind.Some...not many but,some died.He tried not to cry for them as they died like heroes.They were the greatests of their age.

Before the war Percy wasn't sure whether they could manage or not.But they did.They actually did.And now,Camp Half-Blood,Camp Jupiter were together,celebrating their glory.Everyone was there.Even Octavian.This kid is nerve-racking.The place was too crowded.Percy couldn't even see the person behind him.

As he was smiling thinking about this,he heard someone whispering to him.

"Hey,Seaweed Brain."

He turned back.Yes,he thought.There she is.

Annabeth Chase.The daughter of wisdom.The bravest girl Percy's ever known.Stormy gray eyes scanning around.Maybe hundreds maybe thousands of things she thinks in her mind.The girl who built Olympus all over again.The most intelligent person in the camp -at least she was,to Percy.

And she fell in love with a dumb,unskilled,childish son of Poseidon.I suppose I was lucky,said Percy to himself.Yeah,very lucky.

He stared at Annabeth.She was so beautiful.With the scarves on her face,messy hair,a cut t-shirt and a dagger,she was still so beautiful.

"We did it,ha?" said Percy while smiling.

"Yes,we did it.And you know what?" said Annabeth with a serious voice.

"I know what...?"

Annabeth looked into Percy's eyes. "I think you deserve a kiss." Then she kissed him.

Percy didn't know what to do.Annabeth kissed him.She didn't hit him.Or shout at him.Please,please i don't want anyone to disturb this moment.This is the first time she kissed me for nothing.

He kissed her back.You're asking for how long they had been kissing each other?Nah,Percy had no idea.He just wanted this to continue forever.And he was sure that Annabeth did too.

But,of course,nothing lasts forever.

"Hey,cutie lovers!Get yourselves a room!"

Percy heard Leo shouting.Annabeth stopped kissing him and turned to Leo.But...urgh Leo.

They both smiled at Leo and saw the others coming.Piper and Jason holding hands and smiling.Leo talking to Reyna.Wait,what?Leo and Reyna.Talking and laughing?I guess the war is not over.

Leo jumped and ran towards them.Annabeth tried to move backwards but Leo caught both of them.

"Where in Olympus are you trying to go!C'mon lovers give me a hug!"

Percy thought his bones were broken.When Leo let them go,Percy tried to take a deep breath.

"Gaea couldn't kill us but you will if you keep hugging us like this." said Percy.

"Dude,believe me,after this war I don't want to kill,like,anything.Even the demon chicken ladies." said Leo.

Annabeth looked around and asked curiously. "Where are Hazel & Frank?Have you seen them?Are they alright?"
