"Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time."- Thomas A. Edison

LEO

Everybody has that one person, that no matter how much you want to, you just don't get along. But you can only blame yourself because you don't try.

The reason you don't try? The human body has a trillion nerves and they get on every one, you can't have a decent conversation without ending in an argument, you can't walk together without it getting awkward and you definitely can't hold a conversation.

You're the two people who set fire to a room if you looked at each other for too long, or spoke more than two words. Everything you say to each other is hidden words that are meant to hurt each other. When you're arguing, everyone leaves the room so they don't get caught in the cross- fire.

You're the two people God carefully constructed to be enemies for life. That was me and Julia.

"You're not doing it right," she chastised for the millionth time.

"I'm trying," I screamed at her.

"Try harder," she said calmly, I expected her to give up after the tenth time, but she continued, not once getting frustrated. It was confusing the hell out of me.

I huffed and turned back to the brown horse, from where I had fallen off. Grumbling I got back on. Now I was level with her, where she sat on her white horse.

I tried jumping over the pole again, only for it to drop again. I heard Julia sigh from behind me.

"Come on princey, try harder," my so called 'friends' mocked me from the side lines, cupping their hands over their mouths so I could hear them.

So I turned to Edward and Bart and did what any annoyed prince would do in my situation. I flipped them off.

I heard them laughing and turned back to the pole, more determined than ever. Grabbing the reins I kicked the horse hard, and it galloped towards the pole. I would jump at the last minute.

"No Leo, don't do that..." Julia barely finished what she was going to say before my horse drew back on it back legs, dropping me to the ground and taking off.

Julia swore under her breath and galloped after the horse, before it could get too far, she had got a hold of its reins and had calmed it down, then made her way back to where I lay on the floor.

She climbed off her horse and stood in front of me, grabbing me by the arms and helping me up.

I pouted childishly, "It wasn't my fault," I whined. She shook her head and I swear I saw a small smile tugging at the corner of her lips. But she covered it up well, huffing, she trailed towards my friends and I reluctantly followed her.

"Leo, sit down," she said, glaring at her and my laughing friends I sat down.

She handed my horses rein to Edward and smiled, "Would you do me the honour of riding with me Edward, let's show Leo how it's done," she asked. I glared at them harder as he smiled sweetly at her, taking the reins from her and lightly kissing her hand.

"Of course my lady, I'd be honoured," he said chuckling and running a hand through his brown hair.

JULIA

I smiled back at Edward. He was definitely a good looking boy, with brown hair and brown eyes, similar to Bart. But unlike Bart and Leo, he was rather scrawny.

Leo's green eyes narrowed at me, an annoyed look on his face. I ignored him and turned to mount my horse.

"Let me help you my lady," Bart said jokingly, holding me by the waist and hoisting me onto my horse. Leo's face was going red and he looked to be getting more annoyed by the second. Again I ignored him and trotted towards the starting line, waiting for Edward.
