I woke up late. Again. My mom had to shake me up. I slept deeply and I didn't hear my phone. Sadly for her even asleep I was a public danger (or a ninja as you prefer) and I throw my pillow to her face. It was powerful enough to make her fall. The sound is what woke me up.

"What are you doing on the ground mom?

-It wasn't my choice..."

I noticed the pillow and understood.

"Oh sorry...

-Get ready you're late."

She got out of my room and I looked at the time. 8 a.m.

"Shoot!"

I jumped out of bed and ran to the bathroom. The hot water woke me up completely. I got dressed in speed and took my bag mith my phone.

I was tall enough with slightly short blond hair and blue eyes

I was tall enough with slightly short blond hair and blue eyes. More precisely, my hair was dark blond wich cleared up in the sun and was very very thin. As for my eyes, they were a harmonious blend of dark sea blue, of green and grey. According to my clothes, one colour standed out more than the others.

I didn't eat breakfast and kissed my mom before I left the house.

"Be careful!

-As always!"

I put my earphones and I walked to the school. On the way I walked by him. A guy of my age but who didn't go at my high school. Moreover he had white hair and really pale skin. I never talked to him before and I never saw him smile. He always wore black and stood next to his motorcycle with his leather jacket on. He was bigger than me and was pretty muscular. No one knew where he was from but we knew he bought the villa on the hill. He was feared and respected in the entire city. Everyone knew his name. Caleb.

Suddenly, Caleb felt my look and looked at me. I turned away and continued my walk.

Taylor joined me when I arrived.

"Sam! Whats up?

-Hey! Nothing I woke up late...

-I can tell!

-What?"

She laughed. Taylor was my best friend since we were 7 years old. She was taller than me and her hair was clearer. She was a cheerleader and her boyfriend was called Josh. He was a football player. My boyfriend, Taner, was one of the players too. Talking about him, he joined us when we entered the building.

"Hello beautiful...said Taner before kissing me.

-Awn you guys are so cute together... You know what? We should go on a double date!proposed Taylor.

-Hum...

-Well...begined Taner.

-Taylor I love you and all but this is a bad idea...I said.

-Why? Stop being shy Sam!

-I'm not! It's just that... I don't like double dates.

-You're not funy...

-I know!"

I sent my best friend kisses as I passed the classroom door. She sat behind me acting upset but Josh's arrival made her stop.

At noon, Josh, Taner, Taylor and me were eating outside. Taner wanted to post a new photo on Instagram so he was examinating all his last selfies and even asked me to take some pictures of him. Thirty minutes later he finally chose the one and showed it to me excited as a little kid.

"What do you think of this one?

-It's good.

-Just good?

-Hum... You're really handsome.

-This picture is perfect Taner! You look like a model!added Taylor.

-I know right?"

I couldn't help rolling my eyes. I rarely posted pictures and never made such a scene about them.

"Taner?I asked.

-One second. Okay you can go.

-Do you still have my book? You know the one I forgot at your house.

-At his house?asked Taylor and Josh."

Taner searched in his bag and gave me the book. It was an amazing story I read for the second time but I forgot it at Taner's when I was helping him with his homework.

"Thank you!

-By the way Toby is organizing a party this saturday. Naturally we are all going right?asked Taylor.

-Of course we're going! Free drink and billiard!shouted Josh.

-Yeah!"

Taner dropped me at my place at the end of the day and I read while waiting for my mother. But she wasn't at home at 6 p.m as usually. She sent me a text a little after 6:

"Sorry sweety I will be late today. I have a last minute meeting. Could you go to the store to buy yourself something to eat for diner? There is some money on the table.

-No problem!

-I love you sweety.

-Love you too."

I put on a big white sweater, took the money and went to the store. It was not very far from the house but it was already dark when I got out lasagna under the arm. I accelerated the pace despite me. Half way I hit an old woman when I turned around the corner.

"Oh my God! I'm so sorry! Are you okay?"

The woman wore a big black coat. As dark as the sky. Her hair was silver white and went down in pretty curls. But when she looked at me in the eyes, my heart stopped beating. It was really strange. Her eyes were just white. She didn't have any iris or pupil but it felt like she could perfectly see me.

"You're on the wrong path my dear..."

Her voice was like a ghost. Cold and giving me goosebumps. I started to get away but she grabbed my arm and snatched me a cry of surprise.

"Look at me."

I did what she said but her eyes changed into images. Suddenly my head hurt and I closed my eyes. The woman finally dropped my arm but the images I saw were parading in my head.

The first image was me all red holding in my hand a box of sardines.

The second image was a dog I stroked smilling. His necklace said his name was Night.

The third image was of Taylor. She was tearing up a book. The title of this book was "Difficult goodbye".

The fourth was a man. He was handing me a card with an address.

The fifth was me at Prom. I had a crown on my head and wore a wonderful blue dress. Someone was holding my hand. He was wearing a suit with a blue tie and was smilling at me with tenderness. It was Caleb.

When the images finally stopped flying around me, I fall on my knees. I was holding my head as if it could jump off my shoulders and leave. The woman wasn't here anymore. I was alone with my lasagna.
