Don't you? I do haha.'' I took her hand in mine and made small circles on her knuckles with my thumb.
I took a deep breath and carried on talking to her, although it seemed like she couldn't hear me, I knew she was listening. ''What about that one time when we were 16 and snuck out to go to the park and literally sit on the swings and talk about whenever came to mind. That one time when you're boyfriend dumped you and instead of sneaking out to go to the park we went to some party near the college you wanted to go to.'' My grip on her hand became tighter and my heart became heavy.
''You remember all that? No? What about that time when we kissed at Hani's 18th birthday? That was when I realized how much I actually fell for you. I'm pretty sure you felt the same way about me. What about that one time when we were in college when we decided to skip some lectures and go to beach impulsively, I remember that, you're laugh, it was beautiful, the best laugh I've ever heard.'' I could feel tears in my eyes.
''I need to wrap this up quickly, I know that. Solji what about when I proposed, you remember that right? When you started crying when I slipped the ring on your finger, that ring right there Solji, right there.'' I say holding her hand.
I let go of her lifeless hand and stand up. I stare at the heartbeat monitor next to her, it was steady but the chances of her waking up, according to the doctors, is 45% and the chances of her recovering fully are less than 30%. Even if she wakes up she probably won't remember everything we've done together.
