Truth or Dare? [nagisa x rei]

The 5 swimmers, Haru, Rin, Makoto, Nagisa and Rei were currently sat down in a circle on the floor in Haruka's house. They were all bored so Nagisa had suggested that they play truth or dare. In response to this Rin had laughed and said they weren't children. However when Makoto and Rei had agreed to play since they had nothing better to do Rin finally gave in and Haru didn't want to be left out and joined in. Nagisa volunteered himself to go first and he chose dare.
"Nagisa-kun I dare you to give someone your phone and let them send one text to anyone in your contacts." Makoto smiled innocently whilst Nagisa handed his phone over to Rei.
Rei scrolled through his contacts and came across the name 'Cutie💘❤️💕'.
"Hey Nagisa," Rei paused to use one hand to adjust his glasses. "Who is 'Cutie' with three hearts?"
Suddenly Rin bursted out laughing,
"N-nagisa I never knew tha-that y—" before Rin could finish Nagisa cut him off with his face now the same colour as Rin's hair.
"Riiiiiin." Nagisa cried attempting to cover his face with his small baby hands.
"Are you going to send a text this person because it's getting rather boring?" Haru said with no expression or emotion, as usual.
"Very well then, however I will need a message as I do not know what to say."
"You should send something really weird but something Nagisa would say. For example, something including an animal and something humorous." Supplied Makoto.
"Thank you, Makoto." Rei brought his left hand to his chin in thought and his right hand still gripped Nagisa's pink phone.
"I am going to send 'What time are you gonna get here? I set up the video of the penguins as requested and I'm wearing your favourite underwear. You know, the red one with the little paw prints on them? Be here quickly I'm getting impatient -N.' Will that be ok?"
Everyone except Nagisa and Haru started laughing at the message and Rin told Rei to send it. A few seconds after he sent it, Rei's phone bleeped indicating he had a message. The laughter stopped and all eyes fell on Rei who now had a crimson blush decorating his cheeks. Rei looked up to meet Nagisa's eyes and noticed that he was looking down at the floor in shame and his eyes were brimming with tears. Suddenly Nagisa bolted up and out of the room leaving the others in shock.
Not long after Nagisa's outburst, Rei quickly followed after him confused as to why he was crying.

Nagisa leant against the wall and sunk down it bringing his knees to his chest. Rei was going to hate him now. He could never like Nagisa back. Who would ever like an annoying, childish and stupid person like him? No one.
Nagisa was soon pulled from his thoughts when he heard that oh so familiar voice call his name softly.
"Nagisa-senpai what's wrong?"
"You mean you d-don't know?" He said whilst choking back sobs.
"No, I don't. What have I done to upset you?"
"Oh Rei-chan. You haven't done anything wrong. It's my fault because I, because I— never mind."
"It's okay, you can tell me, I'm your friend and I'll always be here for you Nagisa."
"But that's exactly the problem." Rei's face now wore the expression of confusion.
"I don't want to be your friend, Rei. I want to be more than friends because I like you. But no one would ever like me because come on have you seen me? Who could ever like an annoying and childish person like me? That's right, no one. I'm sorry for putting you in this position and if you don't want to talk to me again that's understandable." As Nagisa said this, multiple emotions where expressed on Rei's face but he ended up smiling at Nagisa."
"Why are you smiling?"
"Because I like you too." Nagisa's eyes widened in shock.
"And I must be no one because I like you. It just so happens that I love your 'annoying' and 'childish' characteristics. It's what drew me to you in the first place." The blonde's eyes twinkled with happiness and hope and he suddenly tackled Rei and kissed him on his lips. Rei was frozen in shock at first but soon kissed him back. The two sat there kissing for a few minutes, pulling away every so often to breathe before going back in right after. When they eventually pulled apart, Rei asked Nagisa the question he'd been waiting to hear for months.
"Nagisa-senpai, will you be my boyfriend?"
"Is that even a question? Of course I will!" He replied excitedly and leant in for another kiss.
They decided they should go back to the others and walked in hand in hand.
"Hey guys! Guess who has a new boyfriend?"
"NAGISA!" Rei shouted in shock. He then sat down next to his now boyfriend, still holding hands. Everyone smiled at the pair, even Haru cracked a smile at their happiness.

A/N: This is my second published story and I'm going to turn these into one-shots but based around the same topic. This chapter was originally supposed to be Rin x Haru but on the first dare I got carried away and had an idea so I decided to turn it into this. The next chapter will probably be Rin x Haru.
