Junior's friends were over. They were doing their usual counting and sorting of money. As far as I know it's only money that he brings into the house, however, I wouldn't be surprised if it was drugs too. He doesn't share that part with me and I honestly didn't want to know. Things with us have still been rocky since he got shot. He's shared no details but maybe that's a good thing. Either way, I was upset. Anyone would be upset if their brother came home like that and refused to see a doctor.
I sat on the sofa beside Malik while Killian sat on the armchair. Even with Junior being aware of Killian and I, it still felt wrong being anywhere near Killian when my brother is around. He watches me leave with him everyday and knows I spend a lot of my nights there, but apparently I have an issue with sitting beside him.
Killian's thumb dragged along his lips as his eyes narrowed on me. I repositioned myself in my seat from the heat of his eyes. What they did to me was torturous and he knew that.
"What time are you guys leaving?" Junior used a rubber band to organize his money. Their music was so distracting and they were all pretty high. I questioned how accurate their counting was, but I most definitely wasn't going to offer to recount it for them.
"Any moment now. Trinity should be here soon then we'll be gone," I looked at my last text from her on my phone. She had a few clothes that she wanted to borrow and since we're the same size, I was more than happy to lend them to her.
"So how did you convince Kill to volunteer at an elementary school?" Dre scoffed like it's the impossible. Despite Killian showing a growing interest in many of my hobbies, I knew it probably is impossible. But him coming with me wasn't my idea. It was his. Although, if he didn't want to tell them that he was the one who asked to come with me, then I wasn't going to say anything.
Once a week I devote my time to volunteering at an elementary school. A nearby school has an after school program that acts as a daycare. Kids have a place where they can get extra support for their homework, advance their athletic abilities and be supervised in a safe environment until their parents arrive.
"Kindness of his heart," I stared at the money on the table. I didn't even want to question how much it was.
"Kindness of his heart, my ass. He's a 'my time is money, what will you do in return for me' type of fucker," Malik complained and received a devious smile from Killian.
"Well, I will be receiving something in return tonight," Killian responded, receiving wide eyes from me. He could've just kept his mouth, especially knowing how uncomfortable I already felt.
"I don't need to know when my sister is having sex. Thank you though," Junior removed the joint from his lip. Killian's eyes looked at me and I crossed my arms, shaking my head as I looked away from him.
"Is she hot?" Dre asked and it took me a moment to know who he was referring to. I got up from the sofa when the doorbell rang.
"Well, she looks a lot like me. So I'll leave that up to you," I went to the door. Trinity greeted me with a smile before hugging me. I'm a hugger. But I'm not used to greeting people with a hug because the guys hate it.
"Sounds like quite the party in here. Did I arrive at the right time?" She smirked while we entered the house. We passed the living room and Dre's tongue was almost out of his mouth.
"It's just my brother's friends," I pulled her to my room where I went to the closet. I didn't have time earlier to search for the clothes so I had to take time looking now.
"Junior's friends are...attractive to say the least. I hope they don't see me as a sister. Because fucking them would definitely be thrilling. But all together..." she trailed off like she was creating her own fantasy. I wanted to throw up.
