Adrien squinted up at the bright light of the morning shining through the large windows of his room.
He yawned as he threw off his covers and turned off his alarm.
"About time you woke up kid." His kwami said from atop his dresser. "I need my Camembert."
"Jeez Plagg, this early in the morning?" Adrien shook his head chuckling as he pulled open the drawer of his nightstand.
Inside was a supply of Camembert. He had grown used to Plagg's craving for the smelly cheese and had a stock of it everywhere.
In his locker, both school and fencing class.
His book bag.
His pockets.
It was a miracle he didn't stink from all the cheese he had.
He glanced at the clock and he cursed.
It was already 7:45.
School started in fifteen minutes.
"Gotta go Plagg." He said as the kwami inhaled clumps of cheese. "I'm gonna be late."
He rushed and changed into his usual attire and grabbed his book bag from off his desk.
He ran down the staircase and into the dining room. Natalie was waiting next to his breakfast tray on the table.
"Good morning Adri—" She had started to say, but Adrien had already grabbed a piece of toast and slammed the front door behind him.
He jumped into the limo waiting by the curb, panting. "Step on it!" He called to the driver.
"Yes sir."
They sped towards the school and got stuck in traffic. He cursed under his breath. "What's the hold up?"
"Don't know sir." His driver said shrugging.
Adrien opened the door and hopped out of the limo. "I'll walk." He said quickly before closing the door on his driver's protests.
He shuffled to the sidewalk carefully through the lanes of angry drivers and took off for school.
He pushed the doors of school open and ran to his home room. The bell rang as he climbed the stairs from the courtyard.
He groaned, jogging to the classroom door.
Ms. Mendeleiev turned to look at him from above the rim of her cat eye glasses. She scowled.
"Adrien Agrest. You know my policies for being late." She scolded him. "See me for detention after school."
-
Seriously?
Detention?
Father wasn't going to be happy.
I nod and take my seat. Marinette gives me an apologetic smile and I shake my head slightly, a universal sign of 'it's ok.'
This day sure does suck...
~TIME SKIP~
I tapped Nino on the shoulder as the bell rang for lunch and he pulled of his headphones. "Yeah dude?"
"Have any plans for lunch?" I asked.
"Nah man, wanna go grab a smoothie?" He said packing his stuff.
"Sure." I put my textbook into my bag and we head out of the school and onto the street.
Before we could call a cab, a familiar voice squealed; "Adri-kins!~"
Nino groaned, rolling his eyes and I chuckled at his discomfort.
