Chelsea-
BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! The alarm clock that sits on my window-ceil goes off for the fourth time. This time Seth doesn't turn it off and I roll out of bed careful not to step on my brother and turn the alarm off. Why do they make kids get up at seven to go to school? Buses don’t run in Pineview, It’s such a small town we don’t really need them, but we do have cars and bikes. They even allow us to ride horses on public roads. People have to be accommodating to horses when they live in the middle of a few dozen-horse ranches. If I could, I’d ride one of my horses to school, but sadly, it’s not yet legal. “Jason! Seth! David! Chels! Time for breakfast!” John calls from downstairs, “You don’t want to be late your first day.”
I quickly grab my clothes and head into the bathroom for a quick shower locking all three doors to enter. I brush my damp hair and throw my signature hat on before unlocking the doors and grabbing my book bag. I quickly head downstairs to eat my breakfast. “Morning Chels,” John says from the stove and hands me the waffles and bacon. I take the plates and grab the oranges juice from the fridge along with the strawberries and grapefruit. I set them on the counter.
“Morning John,” I greet him with a kiss on the cheek and set the table with the food and dishes I fill my plate and pour a glass of orange juice. I continue by pealing and slicing the grapefruit, dry them, and place them on a plate in the freezer.
“Tell the boys they’ll have to walk to school if they don’t get a move on.” John says, I quickly eat my food and head back upstairs to finish getting ready and to make sure my brothers and our exchange student are up and getting ready to go. I finish getting ready and go to David’s room.
“David, if you don’t get a move on John says you’ll be walking to school.” I knock on the door when I get no response I push open his door. His room is empty and he had shockingly made his bed this morning. I do a quick double take before checking in on Seth. As I reach up to knock on the door he walks out dressed to impress. “Morning Seth, John’s got breakfast downstairs. Tell him David’s not here.” I continue and I check in on Jason in the temporary guest room, Seth’s bedroom, “Jason!”
“Yeah?” his voice comes through and I hear rustling drawers’ boxes and doors.
“Breakfast is ready, and John’s leaving in five minutes.”
“I'll be right there.” He answers.
“I'll meet you downstairs in the kitchen.” I head back downstairs where Seth and John are sitting and quietly talking. “Do you know where David is?” I ask sliding into one of the vacant seats at the table and begin to go over where both Jason and my classes are.
“No idea.” Seth shrugs, “Maybe senioritis hit him early.” Seth jokes.
“John, do you think he’s out riding?” I ask as Jason walks in. Have I mentioned yet how amazing he looks. He could’ve walked off a Holster, GAP, AE, or Aeropostale ad. His jet-black shaggy hair sweeping to his left covering the upper half of his left piercing green eyes, his tall thin sturdy frame. His purple polo and khakis showing off his muscular build and his California tan. No wonder the girls are always fawning over him. Not that I'm fawning “Jason, your schedule for the semester.” I hand him a sheet of paper as David walks in sweating. “David, what happened?”
