You Said My Name And I Was Yours From That Time

Abby walked into the bathroom around nine the next morning, ready to brush her teeth and start the new day. She'd only had a couple hours of sleep but, there was something about this day that wouldn't let her sleep any longer.

Something needed to change.

She just wasn't sure what that something was....But whatever it was, she knew she was ready for it!

Looking into the Mirror after brushing her teeth, Abby stared at her reflection for a few minutes, studying the bland girl staring back at her.

She looked tired, and warn down.

Her hair was flat and her face was its usual plainness.

She needed Makeup...and a nap to get rid of the bags under her eyes.

Shaking her head Abby gave herself another quick once over in the mirror, looking for whatever the thing was she needed to change...

And then she knew.

Conner fixed the black fedora on his head before running his hands down the front of his clothes once more to straighten them out.

He was wearing a black rocky horror picture show t-shirt with a black suite vest overtop and a pair of fitted black jeans. His usual black converse rested on his feet as he reached out to knock on the door.

He waited a few moments but when no one came to the door he knocked again.

When once again no one answered, he couldn't help but wonder if maybe she wasn't there.

Maybe an emergency came up and she had to leave early that morning?

Maybe she had to run to the store or something and she'll be right back?

Maybe she ditched him?

Or worse... Maybe she just forgot about him?

Bowing his head, Conner sighed, taking a step back. Shaking his head for thinking Abby would ever want to hang out with him for real, he started making his way down the hallway. He heard the sound of someone's feet pounding on the floor as he moved at an extremely slow pace, but he paid it no mind. He was too busy wallowing.

"Conner! I'm so glad I caught you!" Abby's familiar voice rang as she ran to stand in front of him. "Sorry I wasn't there when you first got here." She apologized as Conner looked up at her for the first time since she ran up to him. "I had something I had to take care of." She told him still apologetically.

"Y-your hair." He noted, pointing to Abby's now short bleached blonde hair that was spiked up in a faux hawk.

"Yeah.. My hair." Abby replied, looking a bit nervous as she ran her hands over the side of it.

"I l-like it." He told her sincerely with a smile.

"Good. I'm glad." She told him, biting her lip. "Lets get out of here." She said, holding her hand out for him to take.

Conner nodded, slipping his fingerless, black gloved hand into hers and letting her lead him out of the building.

"So where shall we go today?" Abby wondered as they exited the building, turning to look at Conner with a happy smile. "You look great by the way." She noted, looking him up and down.

Conner smiled, looking down to hide the blush coming to his cheeks. "Th-thanks" He mumbled. "Y-you too." he remarked, looking her up and down.

She was wearing a pair of light colored skinny jeans and a black fitted spaghetti strap shirt with a black pinstriped jacket left open and a pair of black strappy wedges.
