"Don't just stand there! DO something! You have weapons to supply a whole military in the back!" I hissed at Ryu, who stood unusually calm behind the counter.
"Sorry, Miss Ikazumi. But under oath I cannot interfere with any feuds between your group and the others."
My group?
The man held the blade closer to my neck, enough so that the edges of it were able to draw a little bit of blood.
"Good choice, Instigator. What a pity that I'm not the one who is supposed to kill her, so I guess this will have to do."
At the moment, the man that had grasped onto me released his grip. Before I could make an escape attempt I was hit against the head with something hard, causing me to drop onto the floor, my vision becoming blurry.
The last thing I could see were footsteps walking in my direction....then everything went black."Kitomi Ikazumi."
I opened my eyes as I heard my name, only to see pure darkness. I tried to move mu hands but they were tied with metal wire and tied onto a metal pipe.
"Look, I don't know what you want from me or who your little groupie is. Take my bag and please leave me alone!"
In an instant my blindfold was removed revealing a man with purple hair slid back to the side and two katanas in the position of an "x" perched on his back. He wore a black trench coat that covered his outfit underneath.
I looked around to see that I was in a dark alleyway.
"It is an honor to meet you in person now, you know?"
I looked up. "Who are you?"
The man grinned and walked back and forth. "Ah, you don't remember me. I am a good friend of your older brother, Anju. My name is Tatsuo."
I rolled my eyes. "All this talk about Anju and me but yet I don't know who he is or what the big deal about me is! All I wanted to do was peacefully move to the city!"
"Oh, the city. Full of thousands of people, hundreds of clubs and bars. But yet, we are all still outcasts."
"Huh?" I glared at him.
"Kitomi, we are all not gangs for fun." Tatsuo looked at me with a face so serious. "The gangs were created by your family to bring us outcasts together. A lavishing, beautiful group your brother was second in command in." He grinned and winked at me. "Me and him wanted to be kings of the city. We wanted to show those menacing people that us outcasts can rule their city. But there was just one thing in the way."
My eyes widened as Tatsuo's body trembled. His trench coat tore open, revealing the man's back split open, spewing blood everywhere as a pair of black wings tore through him. He looked up at me, revealing blood red eyes, and smiled.
"I made him kill your father, the leader of the Ikazumi group."
"You're wrong." I growled. "Nobody in my family would kill."
"Ohh but that's where you're wrong, my dear. I never thought things would be like this but your brother put on quite the show." Tatsuo laughed menacingly, moving closer to me until his body was touching mine.
"What are you?" My voice shook as I felt his wings brush up my sides.
He leaned into my left ear and softly whispered, "Your worst nightmare. There's more to the story, but I've already told you enough."
His hand rested on the pipe above me, and his other hand held a flyer, which he held in front of me. It read:死んだり生きていたかった (Wanted Dead or Alive):
イカスミキトミ Kitomi Ikazumi
褒賞 Reward: ¥2,000,000 and becomes apart of the greatest group in Tokyo, the イカスミ.
-安州 Anju"Two million yen? That's mighty kind of you all to price me so high. But I feel like I should be worth more." I spat back and grinned.
Tatsuo frowned and in that instant my legs had a mind of their own.
I kicked Tatsuo in the crotch.
Tatsuo jerked back, causing his wing to get caught in the wire the held my hands, resulting him to cut it.
I dropped to the ground and got up as Tatsu cried in pain.
"I should have killed you when you were unconscious." He roared and stood up.
"Oh crap, oh crap, oh crap." I walked backwards while digging for the knife I put in my pocket. It was still there!
"Never did I think I had to use this on some demon...."
Tatsu smiled as his wings spread more, creating a strong wind which blew me into the alley wall.
He jumped and landed in front of me.
"Get away from me!" I screamed as he grabbed my neck.
"Ooh dear, looks like your little life is going to come to an end. I'm sure you remember watching a similar fate your dad went through."
Memories began to flood like a waterfall. The memories that I had forgotten years ago. My hands clenched in anger as i held the blade hidden in my hand close. My body trembled and grew warm as I used every ounce I had left.
"NO!" I screamed and swung the knife across his stomach, causing blood to ooze out.
"Beautiful." Tatsuo smiled as his grip loosened on me and he fell to the ground, his wings dissolving, leaving a black puddle underneath.
But I was not finished. I crouched over his body and continued stabbing in different areas of his chest, tears running down my face as his blood splattered all over me.
Into the distance I heard a voice that eventually got close to the point where I could feel them pull me off of Tatsuo.
"C'mon, Kitomi! He's dead, okay? Let's go."
I took a deep breath and picked up his longest blade, a katana wrapped in red silk.
"Kitomi. Please come with me, okay? It's not safe here."
I could hear the guy's voice speaking, but I chose not to listen. I walked over to the alley wall and slid my back down it, gazing at the "wanted" paper in front of me and hiding my face between my legs. That was the moment I realized I had to become a brand new person and avenge the death of my father and reclaim what was called my "group."
