'Why didn't I just go with Yoongi and Hoseok when I had the chance?' Namjoon thought, staring absentmindedly at the glass screen in front of him. Yoongi and Hoseok had gone for ice cream at the younger's insistence. Namjoon hadn't felt like joining them at the time, so when manager-nim had asked for him, personally, he had jumped at the chance.

So, that was how he had ended up in his studio with the boy sat across from him. Namjoon hadn't recognised him, but the name their manager had whispered in his ear was familiar enough.

Akaro.

Apparently, BigHit had been in talks with Summit, Akaro's label, to get Akaro signed over. Now, it doesn't take an IQ of 148 to recognise why. Akaro, or Sunji, as he had introduced himself to Namjoon, had 2 Korean number 1s under his belt and a Platinum Album. Of course, it was only natural that BigHit wanted a piece of the action. Now, Akaro himself had asked to be able to collaborate with BigHit's Rap Monster and BigHit couldn't have possibly said no.

He had heard Sunji's music when he was younger and the lyrics had felt real and pure, like they cane directly from the younger man's heart. He wanted to have a chance to touch other people like that, to make them feel something with his music. So, here he was, sat in his studio with Sunji.

Namjoon wouldn't have minded being with the younger man, if it wasn't for three very important things:
1. He insisted on calling Namjoon sunbaenim, even though Namjoon insisted he called him hyung
2. Every time Namjoon tried to talk about how great Akaro, no, Sunji's music was, the younger would switch the topic back to RM's rap
3. He talked about Namjoon a lot, and I really mean a lot.
4. Nam Sunji was unbelievably, impossibly and totally undeniably the hottest guy Kim Namjoon had ever met.

They eventually started talking about the collab and Namjoon could tell that Sunji was in his element. His eyes lit up as they spoke and he talked passionately about beats and rap lines and the aesthetic he was working on. Namjoon couldn't help but smile - Sunji's enthusiasm was infectious - and he leant back in his chair, just watching as the other man worked. It was nice to be able to take a step back for once and watch another artist expertly handle the equipment. Sunji was a natural, tuning the bass and explaining how his rap would fit in with the lyrics Sunji had written.

"So, I was thinking we could get on with recording it."

Namjoon swallowed, hard. It had been easy to talk to this glorious walking ray of sunshine, but to rap in front of him, when Sunji's lyrics had basically inspired him to make music.

He didn't think he could do it.

Sunji could obviously see his hesitation, "I could go first, if you want me to, that is." His hands were held up in a placating gesture and Namjoon smiled a little on the inside; Sunji was just too cute.

"Nah, it's okay, I'll go first." He brushed away his nerves, trying hard to hide them under confidence. The younger man had been trying to make allowances for him all week, postponing the first meeting, and then waiting for Namjoon to get the lines just right; he owed Sunji this much.
