I am beautiful
At least that's what my parents tell me
But society deems what being beautiful means
And places theses standards that I just can't reach
Does that mean I'm not beautiful
Because beautiful her might not be beautiful to me
And beautiful to him might be a beauty that I can't see
But isn't there a beauty that can meet up inbetween a little on the inside
A little on the out
Because isn't that what being beautiful is all about
But society has warped our minds
And made beauty defined
Beauty now has a color
Shape
Walk
Talk
And new name
And it is not beautiful
It is a twisted mentality
One that has made us believe in a different reality
That beauty is only skin deep
That the beauty of our body
Clothes
Hair
Is the only beauty people seek
Not the beauty of our minds
And the words we speak
They have become secondary factors
That people don't look at first but only after
But maybe in an alternate world
Where the vision of beauty is not blurred
My beauty is your beauty
And your beauty is his
And we can see beauty for what it truly is
A word
An adjective
That can be used to describe anyone
Because I think; your beautiful
