MAX POV
I woke up the next day with a headache and I really didn't want to move. Unfortunately I had to get up for needs.
I got up and went to the bathroom and dug through my medicine cabinet for some medicine. This hangover is a bitch. I finally took something and remembered last night. I needed to talk to Jess and figure out what's going on.
I didn't bother leaving the bathroom as I just jumped in the shower. I did a quick one just to wash everything from yesterday away. I got out and dried and wrapped the towel around and walked out. When I got in my room I realized I wasn't alone.
What surprised me most was that Jess was here. She didn't look exactly happy. So I walked to my dresser to get some clothes.
"So, you're in my room because?" I asked not turning around while I pull out some clothes.
She didn't respond so I turned my head slightly and saw she was really upset. Then she said "I'll talk to you when you put some clothes on." Then she got up and left.
Sighing, I went and closed my door and got dressed. I went and found her sitting on my couch deep in thought.
"So, why were you in my room?" I asked with my eyebrow raised.
"I just came to talk." She said shrugging her shoulders.
"Ok, great I wanted to talk as well." I said and she looked at me like 'yeah right'.
"What is wrong with you and what am I 'doing' to you?" She air quoted doing like it was a big deal.
I sighed and said "I can't keep getting close to you OK. You know my father will never allow it."
"Oh, so really you're throwing daddy issues into it." She said folding her arms.
That just made me mad. Of course I don't care what my father thinks but it's what he thinks of her that I'm worried about. "Oh, come on you're telling me that he would be OK with it?"
"No, but god I hate that you are ignoring or pushing me away one time then being nice the next. It's just so confusing." She said getting angry.
"I'm not trying to confuse you. I'm just don't want trouble." I said running my finger trough my hair frustrated.
"I don't care it's annoying to me and the way I feel." I turned my head to look at her and I saw she was starting to cry.
I was a little stunned but I quickly recovered. I walked over to sit next to her and comfort her. "I really am sorry to have hurt you. I didn't realize." I said.
"Well I don't like it. You are one way with me but then the next out and all over other girls." She said moving away from me.
I was getting a little frustrated with her but I am starting to understand what is wrong with her.
I had nothing more to say to her because to tell you the truth, I had nothing to say. While I was thinking I didn't even realize her get up.
"Ok, so I'm going to go. And guess I will see you around." She said and then rushed out the door before I could stop her.
I really had no choice but to let her go until I am able to sort out my feelings.
This is going to get worse before it gets better hut I don't want to see her hurt.
JESS POV
I got out of there because it didn't seem like he was going to say anymore. He will seek me our when he is ready but it feels like I'm hurt. He just confused me I mean was it big issue with his father. I mean Britt knew and she was ok with it. So why can't Joe be.
whatever I am making a big deal out of this. It is time I talk more to my best friend she is the one that can help me the most.
------
Well its been a week since I last spoke to Max and quite frankly I also had sometime to think it over. Today is the day we all get together and I am actually calm. Bit after today everything will change.
"OK, so today we are having our party. Aren't you excited?" Chels asked really hyper.
"Of course, why wouldn't I be?" I said shrugging my shoulders.
She gave me the 'are-you-kidding-me' look and i just rolled my eyes. Chels has been talking to me about my situation and she gave me the idea that tonight would be the perfect time to have it all figured out.
"OK, let's get serious. Time to get ready for this thing." She said excitedly.
"Um, why so early? We have like 4 hours." I said.
She shrugged her shoulders and said "I need to get you ready and perfect. No if and sor buts. Now shower so I can get started."
I forgot how bossy she can be some times. But I grabbed my towel and headed into the shower. It was ridiculous how much time she wanted to get me ready so I decided I would take some time in the shower.
Twenty minutes later I decided I would get out of the shower. I got out and wrapped my fluffy towel around me and opened the door just to have Chels yell at me. "Seriously, I told you to shower not take a whole damn hour of peace time. Gosh you are going to put me behind schedule."
I just rolled my eyes of how she was over exaggerating. "OK fine what now?" I asked.
"Sit and Lets start drying that hair." She pulled me over and plopped me down on a chair.
She first blow dried it until it was almost dry and then she forced it into a french braid. It hurt a little with her constant tugging but I didn't argue. When she finally finished with that she started on my face but not too much because its a beach party and there will be swimming.
When she was finally done with that I looked at the time and saw we had been doing this for two hours. I was shocked and before I could say anything clothes were shoved my way. "OK, go get dressed while I work on myself." She said.
I took the clothes and closed my self back into the bathroom. She had given me my pink polka dotted bikini which is my favorite.i slipped it on and then looked at what else she had given me. I had as pair of denim short shorts that i slipped on and a yellow tie on crop top. After I dressed I looked in the mirror and realized I looked great. Chels is really good.
I finally walked out and saw that she was all ready. "OMG, Jess you look amazing." She said.
"I know thank you for doing this." I said giving her a hug.
"What are besties for." She said smiling.
I finally looked over at the clock and saw that it was five after eight. "I think we should get going. It is time to start the party." I said a little to excited.
I put on my shoes and gabbed my phone and we headed down. It was great, everyone was already there and having fun. It didn't take long for Chels to run off but I really didn't care. I was having fun of my own.
An hour into the party and everyone was either in the water or snuggling by fire or just plain old dancing. I was one of the ones by the fire. That is until I finally saw him. It was really weird. He didn't notice me yet but I was really glad he was here.
As if he could sense someone watching he finally looked up and saw me. He smiled and I couldn't help but smile back. I really didn't know what to do but I guess he decided to be the one to walk over. He sat down next to me and I immediately felt happy.
Oh the things I love about him and just doesn't even have to say anything.
