Hi friends, old and new! Welcome to a new old story. This will be my first and last author note for the book.
A little background: I wrote this about eight years ago, and dug it up at the request of an old friend, EssayOfThoughts, and yelllowishh. It's a dark, dreamy tale set beneath the streets of Rome sometime in the 1500s, featuring some old monster folklore favorites under the guise of "new" names. Keep an eye out for them, or just read the story tags. Whatever floats your boat.
Something to note before you dive in: each "chapter" consists of many POV snippets separated by line breaks. Sometimes you'll know who's speaking at the onset, others it's ambiguous to the end (or until you get to the end of the book.)
