Two girls stepped out of the limo. One had green eyes, dark brown hair and she was wearing a magenta pink one shoulder shirt, taffy pink city shorts and black leathered thigh high boots. The other girl had the same hair and eye colour but she was wearing a sea foam green halter shirt, emerald green hot pants and white wedge booties.

"Still obsess with pink?" Evie crossed her arms.

"Still obsess with yourself?" The pink girl chuckled.

"Everyone, this is Ariana, my...sister." Evie sighed.

"Yeah. You're sister who's more feared than you." Ariana looked at the green girl. "You've met Penny before, haven't you? She's my best mate."

"Yes, I have. You've brought her home multiple times to torture me." Evie looked really mad. Mal placed a hand on her shoulder to calm her down. Low and behold, it worked.

"Hello, Evie." Penny smirked.

"Do you know how much I hate you two right now?" Evie looked back at Ariana.

"Yes. My cancers grown." Ariana sighed.

"I can't do this." Evie ran away.

"E!" Her friends ran after her. They found her in her dorm.

"I want to find the cure for her cancer. Her cancer. I want to help Ari."

"Will she allow that?" Mal asked.

"No. She won't but I don't want her to die. There has to be a cure for lung cancer." Evie stood up.

"Like you said, Ari won't let you help her." Jay hugged her.

"I know." Evie suddenly smiled. "But we know someone who will help us."

"Who?" Carlos asked. The others smiled at each other. "Don't leave me hanging."

"Penelope." Jay rolled his eyes.

"Penny must know the guardians of wonder, fun, hope, dreams and memories. She's Pitch Black's daughter and Pitch Black has a history with the guardians. We can convince Penny to take us to the guardians. We are the ultimate gang." Mal nudged Jay.

"We always win." Jay smirked.

"Grab your weapons, VK's." Carlos took out his nunchucks, Evie grabbed her spear from underneath her bed, Mal grabbed her samurai sword from their wardrobe and Jay took out his two knives.

"Are you sure you want to do this, Eve?" Jay asked her.

"As sure as I'll ever be." Evie opened the door to see Penny. "Penny?"

"It's Ari." Penny sounded worried.

"What about Ari?"

"She's losing her hair." Penny dragged them to her dorm room. Ariana was sitting on her bed, crying with her hair in her hands.

"Ari!" Evie hugged her.

"Help me." Ari cried.

"Penny, can you take us to the guardians?" Mal asked her.

"The guardians? Sure...I can do that. They might not like me though."

"It's ok. We'll be there." Jay looked at Evie. "Let's go, E."

"Ari, come with us." Evie helped Ariana stand up.

"Ok." Ariana wiped her eyes dry.

"Let's go." Carlos led everyone outside. "Penny, do you know where their lair is?"

"Deep underground in snow. We should wait until nighttime." Penny looked at the sun. When the moon arose, long trails of sand appeared. "Right on time, Sophie." She looked up to see a sand cloud. "Sophie!" A girl with blonde hair and blue eyes jumped down to them. She was wearing a pineapple yellow mandarin shirt, a lemon yellow skinny jeans and white mule shoes. "Do you guys believe in the sandman?"

"Yeah. Why?" Mal asked.

"Because Sophie is the daughter of the sandman and she is the new sandman. She can only be seen by people who believe in her."

"What are you doing here, Penny? You should be on the Isle." The girl continued to send out sand streams.

"I was invited, ok. We need to see the other guardians. My friend Ari over here has lung cancer and we need help. You guys are our only hope."

"Why should we trust you? Your dad almost killed our dads."

"Because I'm nothing like my dad. Please, Soph." Penny pleaded. Sophie thought for a minute then she sighed.

"Let's go." Sophie created a sand cloud. "Who are the others?"

"This is Ariana, her big sister Evie and her friends."

"Mal, Jay and Carlos." Evie sighed.

"Let's go." Sophie helped them onto their sand cloud. "You might want to stay low. This isn't exactly the most safest place ever." Sophie steered the cloud.

"It's safer than the Isle." Jay looked around him.

"Not exactly. The Isle has a dome around him so nothing can get to it. Right now, us guardians are trying to protect the children of the world by making them forget about Penny."

"What have I done?" Penny asked surprised.

"You've been sending out nightmares." Sophie shoved her.

"I can't be me."

"Hold on tight." Sophie sent the sand cloud through a tunnel and into a lair.
