I slowly start walking over to Taehyung. When I get close enough to him, he pulls me into his chest and wraps his arms around me. After a few seconds, I hear J-Hope yell and I feel the other boys wrap us in a group hug.
"Wait. Let me go." I whisper to Taehyung and he pushes the boys off me, still watching me carefully.
"Satan!" I say as I turn around.
"Yes, my beautiful daughter?" He asks, a part of the walls again.
"Morph back into your human form. Now." I demand, and he slowly morphs back into a human form only five feet from me.
"Yes, Hye Yoon?"
"If I'm a demon, what is Sing-min?" I ask and he cast his gaze to the floor.
"Your mother never told you?"
"No, she told me you left before you even knew that I was a girl. Tell me the story."
"Your brother... he is your mother's first child. She had a boyfriend before me that made the same promise to her that I did- that he would stay with her. They got married and had your brother. Then, one night as he was coming home, he was involved in an accident. He didn't make it.
"A year later, I met your mother. We became close. I started to fall in love with her. Or, I thought I did. Then she told me she was pregnant with you and I left her. I didn't think I could raise one child, let alone two. Besides, I had this place to run. And hell is no place to raise two children. I left her, no warning. Just in the middle of the night one night, leaving a note on the pillow telling her that I couldn't do it anymore. I haven't seen her since."
"You disrespe-" I start but am cut off when Taehyung wraps a hand around my bicep.
"No, Taehyung, let go of me." I say, struggling against his strong hold before he wraps his other hand around my other bicep.
"Say what you are going to say. Don't do anything." Taehyung whispers in my ear.
"You. You're a disrespectful piece of trash. You left her because you didn't think you could handle raising a child. That just makes you a coward. It doesn't matter if you thought you could do it or not. If you loved her- really loved her- you would have stayed."
"But what was I supposed to do about this place, Hye Yoon? I can't just leave it."
"Come back once a month. Tell us kids it's a business trip. You could have made it work. But your cowardice ways got in the way of wit. They got in the way of reason. I would do anything for these boys right here. These boys? They came to save me when you just wanted me for what ran in my blood. Don't call me your daughter. If I was your daughter, you would have raised me. You would have been there. You are no dad. You are no man if you run away from your problems. Don't ever contact me. I don't ever want to see your face again." I say, shrugging off Taehyung's hands and walking out the door.
