Life; the most amazing gift that a person can acquire if said person lives that life properly and fully. Most people don't understand the true meaning of life, some believe that you're not living a full life unless you're rich, in love, successful, beautiful, or popular most of the time all at once. Contrary to popular belief no matter which one of those characteristics you obtain in your life you still might not be happy, but some people believe that is what you need to be content and for them that may be their happiness, the stereotypical perfection. If I'm being truthful though I can't even fathom the fact of having one of those things at one time in my life forget all of them at once. Don't get me wrong it would be amazing to never have to worry, to never work for anything, to be loved by everyone I have ever met or even just to have a minuscule moment of peace and quiet. However peace is not still something that is in my future because peace is for the privileged and that is definitely something I am not. Do you want to know who I am?
I am not known by everyone under the sun, I don't have a rich family or a perfect home, but does anyone really? Everyone has flaws, they make mistakes and they get disappointed, no one is ever shielded from pain or heartbreak. Those are just things that everyone deals with but we all believe that our lives are not understandable, we believe one flaw that differentiates us from the rest of the world is the worst part about us. There is at least one thing that every single person in the world wants change about themselves, whether it's our appearance, personality, wealth, family, intelligence or talents there's always going to be something in this world that everyone aspires to be. We all want to change something about ourselves to fit society's image of what we should be, yet we still want there to be something unique or special about us. We want everyone to see us as there equal at some points and their superior in others. If you're sitting here reading this and thinking that I'm lying or that you're the exception then I applaud you for believing that because deep down there is something you want to change about your self even the slightest thing in your life that you wish was different , even if you don't realize it yet. That's just human nature, we're all the same, we all have something in this world that we either hate or wish to achieve, and that's what my story is about, the journey to achieve the unthinkable, the journey to achieve my dream.
I'm Riley Everton I would like to believe I'm different then the rest of the human race, but like I just stated every person in this world is generic we're all the same, so that means I'm exactly like you , or my friends, or every other person in this world, but we can change that, we don't have to fit society's image of a perfect human being. Perfect is just a word, an insignificant word that tries to define us, to be honest 'perfect' os one of my least favourite words because of it's irrelevance, because everyone uses it to define others to define themselves, What even is perfection? A skinny girl with flawless skin and long beautiful hair, is that perfection? Who said that was perfect? Someone who believed they were the most beautiful person in their community, or even worse maybe it was someone who thought so lowly of themselves that they thought someone was prettier than them and decided that person was perfect. That doesn't really matter though because the origin of the word is about as important as the word itself. Due to one person that word is used so often to define people in society but most the time, in high school especially, it's used to beat others down and that's where this story begins .
High school; the nuisance of my life. When described in stereotypical terminology I would be considered a nerd, but does that really matter once I get out of here at the end of the year? When I go off to college and do bigger and better things with my life? No my popularity is not going to shape the rest of my life, my grades will though so I've always tried to keep my grades up and my head down in this one short part of my life, until now, until I caught the eye of Mr.Bad Boy. This is my life, it may seem like every other cliche high school story, with heartbreak, despair and untimely events and yes that may be how my story begins but trust me that is definitely not how it will end.
