Hello guys! My first vocal lessons were yesterday and It was so exciting! I learned so much and there was just so much happening and I loved it! Well first things first I was an hour early cause my mom decided I should be early. So I was sitting in there little office area and when I tell you I was greeted with black excellence I was greeted with black excellence ma'am! I was vibing with two of the chilliest people ever talking about pentatonix and what not. Then I started humming If I ever fall in love and the woman was like 'go ahead girl don't be shy' and we ended up doing a whole acapella routine, harmonies and all. Then this very pregnant teacher waddled in and there were little children there! Oh my god they were so cute! This little black child with short curly blonde hair was sucking her thumb and she said hi to me and I almost died. It was finally time for my lessons and my teacher Katie is amazing and I love her to bits! We worked on my posture a bit but she had nothing but good things to say. Turns out I have good ears and I picked up on sight reading very quickly. Also I always thought I was a contralto/alto/ mezzo-soprano somewhere between those ranges but guess who the fuck lied to herself? I'm just a soprano, I felt so dumb when she told me. I'm gonna be studying Musical theatre, Acapella, Opera and Classical. We went over some songs and she gave me music homework

WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS????? HOW DO I SING THAT??? Besides that I'm singing so much better now that my posture is in order, I can even match some of Beyoncé's notes which is exciting. I can't wait until next week and if these lessons keep going as well as they are now I might just have to make a YouTube channel.
