Jamie Mackenzie was waiting for her best friends, Andy and Mack, at a picnic table she was reserving for them. The students were allowed to sit wherever at whatever table they wanted and you didn't have to sit with your pack. There was also a cafeteria but most enjoyed eating outside.
From where Jamie was sitting there was a beautiful view, all tables looked like they were floating on the meadow. The tables were overflowing with people so some students walked past the tables into the meadow taking their place there. Antonella was still grabbing her food and Ryan was still nowhere to be seen since we all split up to get dinner. Jay's stomach screamed for some food, so she decided to start eating and not wait for them. She had a cheeseburger, fries, and a strawberry lemonade.
Stiles was sitting with Scott discussing on what they should do this weekend since it was the first week of classes. He wanted to do something that will probably get them in trouble since later in the year they never have time from the amount of work they get. Scott wanted to do something with the whole pack so the new members can feel welcome and everyone could get to know each other. Scott kept yapping about that same topic that Stiles started to zone out and look around noticing Jamie sitting by herself.
"Earth to Stiles?" Scott was saying to him. "Stiles!... Yo buddy?" Scott yelled startling his best friend.
"Wait... Sorry, Scotty. I uh- I'll be right back." Stiles told Scott in a daze. Stiles pats his back while he trails towards Jamie. Scott's eyes follow Stiles and stare at his friend confused.
When Stiles finally gets to her table he awkwardly stands there and rubs his neck. "Hey um- it's Jamie right... I um- what's wrong? Why are you sitting here by yourself?" Stiles asked Jamie.
"Oh hey, Stiles. Um nothing wrong, I'm just waiting for my brother and Andy." She replied looking up to see Stiles on the opposite side of the table.
"Can I sit?" he points to the vacant bench.
"Yeah," She says a little too fast. Jamie's cheeks flushed a light pink. "If you want."
"Well, I'm gonna take that as just a yes and sit down now." He puts his leg over the seat and sits down. "By the way, your brother is sitting with Jackson and Parrish." He said pointing to the three boys sitting behind Jamie in the far right.
"Great! Looks like he ditched me." She said with a sarcastic smile.
"Hey. At least you got me." He said with sincerity. Jamie looks up catching his gaze. She awkwardly clears her throat and looks back down at her food. Stiles takes a handful of her fries eating one of them in the process.
"Great, I suppose I can settle with you." She said sarcastically rolling her eyes.
"Hey! Don't roll your eyes at me." He said taking one of the fries in his hand and throwing it at her.
"Hey now. Don't take it out on the fry." She said taking back the fries from his hand.
"Are fries that important to you?" He chuckled not putting up a fight and letting her take back the fries.
