My Last Farewell (One Shot)

Naomi's POV

I woke up. Argh! 5 o' clock pa lang ah?! Bwiset 'yung tanda na 'yun!

Tumayo ako at pumasok ng kwarto ng 'mama' ko.

"Hoy tanda! Bakit mo ako ginising ng ganito kaaga?" Walang galang kong tanong. Hindi naman siya kagalang-galang.

"We're going to Bohol to visit your lola." She said with a smile. Hell I care.

"Why would you visit someone who is already dead?" Bored kong tanong.

Natigilan siya. Galit ang visible sa mukha niya. "I didn't raise you to act like that, young lady!"

Tinaasan ko siya ng kilay. Now anger is visible on my face. "How?"

"How would you know?! YOU didn't even raise me! Tapos ikaw pa 'tong may ganang magalit?! That's bull****!" Sigaw ko.

"I don't like that tone, Naomi." She warned.

"The hell I care!" I shouted then walked away.

I went to my room and packed my bags. I'm getting out of this hell hole! When I was done, I went outside and went in my car.

Nilabas ko 'yung phone ko at dinial ang number ni Janessa, my friend.

"Hey." Bati ko.

"Ow! Whassup bessie!" Tanong niya.

"Can I crash by your house?"

"Anytime bessie! Kahit dito ka na tumira eh! Hahaha!"

"Thanks! I'm on my way." Sabay binaba ang tawag.

Nakarating na ako sa kanila at masaya naman akong tinanggap ng mga magulang niya. I like her parents. They understand me. They care.

*1 month later*

Maayos pa rin naman ako. I never heard a single call from 'mom'. Wala rin balitang narinig. She's at Bohol. I think. But, the hell I care?

I was walking in the of my school when someone called. I took a look.

09123456789 is calling...

Answer | Decline

I declined. Who would answer such a call? I mean, look at that number!

I enjoyed living at the Matthew Residence. It's fun. Just like before, I make kwento-kwento, they listen.

*1 month later*

I packed my bags. I'm going home na. Nakakahiya na kasi. Now, I'm here standing outside my house.

I was about to open it when my neighbor, totoro, called me.

"Bakit, totoro?" I asked.

"Oh, nothing. Here." Sabay abot niya ng necklace. This is the old lady's.

"How?" I asked. He shrugged.

"K. See 'ya later." I said and went in my house. Guess she kept this house clean.

I went to my room and put my luggages in. I went to my bed and laid down.

Memories flashed back quicker than you can say, tomato, tomatoes.

*Flashback*

"Mom! Look at my test papers! I got a perfect score!" She looked and smile.
