Um I don't know if it's necessary but uhhh, it could get graphic ahead. I apologise if the image above causes anything of a disturbance to your personal life (e.g. seizures) because of the rapid changes in the image. I will take it down if asked.

Cancer POVI begin doubting my skills as I continue to study the hulking beasts and vice versa. No weak spots yet. Escape seems unlikely.
I slowly reach for the khopesh at my belt and jump back as one tries to pounce on me. The benefits of this weapon? It's weight. I lodge the end of my khopesh in the space between the neck and the clavicle then quickly climb around it's neck, dragging the blade with me.
A downside? It can't cut bone. So while it reels and howls in pain and slowly but surely bleeds to death I use its large body as a wall effectively blocking half of them from me.
Another tried to pounce on me again but I successfully roll away, blade extended. It whines in pain as the blade cuts into its skin. I quickly roll behind it and slice at its hind legs only to hear a slight sizzle.
What's this blade made of again? Bronze? Steel? Iron? Silver? The best growls as a slight orange sheen starts to form. Well I'm running out of time.
Instead of waiting to be pounced on again by another beast I jump planning to thrust the end through its head. It's mouth starts filling up with blood and my blade is stuck. The sizzling intensifies as I shake the blade out of its face.
Three down, and a path has been cleared and I seize the opportunity running as fast as I can away from them. They all howl as their prey gets away. I smile seeing a river up ahead. Just head upstream until Prayer Falls it says.
I think I'm going crazy.
-----
One moment I'm running up the bank, the next- my side hits the rocks in the water, vision shaking and fading.
Damn, they're fast.
The one I badly injured looms over me with a now thick layer of orange fur. Shit.
I'm sorry Matt, sorry I'll end up doing what you feared I would do.
It's eyes show unexpected emotions from such an animal; hatred, revenge, and pain comes into mind. It makes to bite and I cover my face with my hands until suddenly all I could see was white.

Scorpio POV
White hair. Exactly like Troy's, "... Are you-"
"Related to him? No, but it would be honouring if we were."
I just stare in awe. The woman hands him the books then leaves again. I thought Troy was the only one with white hair. Even when Gemini came along, her hair couldn't compare to how bright his ones are.
"Right. These books contain a brief summary of who the Cancers really are." He opens up the middle book. "For you to find out where he's going, you'll need to understand where we came from before Menoris."
"Wait, before our country was formed?"
"Yes, and your country is younger than High Charity. So, anyway, long ago Menoris was split into the twelve ancient zodiac cities, the most secluded being Ilmelune. It was hidden behind mist and cloud, high above the mountains. The Cancers resided there. The cold weather and lack of mingling with the other signs gives us our snowy white hair."
