Prologue
When I was at the age of fourteen, I was abandoned, along with my little brother Christopher, he was only twelve. Our parents just left with nothing but the words 'You are burdens,' we never saw them again. Personally I think we are better off without them, I have raised my brother till I was sixteen, we still live together but he is now fourteen and knows how to stand on his own two feet.
You're probably thinking, what sort of parents would abandon their children at the age of fourteen and twelve. Well they did.
We live with the Warner Family, a very rich and posh family.They took us under their wings, when they found us on the side of the road one night a year ago. So much has changed since then, like my grades are better and I get a good night sleep knowing my brother is safe.
One thing that hasn't changed is the attitude of the spoilt princess, Gabby Warner. She is popular at school and tries her best to make my life a living hell. Why? I have no clue, and I live under the same roof as her.
Oh and lets not forget her boyfriend and my best friend, Matthew Lawson, I grew up knowing him and hanging around with him since elementary school. Even though his girlfriend hates me, he doesn't care and spends time with me.
Lindz Woods is my best friend, we meet one day in the mall when we both liked the same dress. We did fight over it of course but gave and grabbed some smoothies. Best friends ever since then.
My other best friend I also grew up with was Nora Valentinne. She's an amazing cook who I would never refuse a meal from.
Then there is Matt's little sister Kitty Lawson, cute name right? I picked it. Her real name is Katherine but she likes Kitty. She is like the little sister I never had.
Well that's pretty much my life, not much more to say, oh wait, my name is Hallie Erickson.
