“Bring, Bring” I quickly walked inside leaving my coat on the porch.

I got a phone call. It was my cousin.

“Caitykins, Guess who” He said in a deep velvet voice.

“Who else do I get phone calls from everyday? Who else have I gotten phone calls from everyday for the past 80 years?” I ranted to LuLu.

“Who else calls you CatyKins and says Guess who at every phone call?” He laughed. His deep voice got deeper with age.

“What’s happening?” I asked sitting down.

“Just the usual, I went to see Eleanor today”

“Yeah, I just saw Harry too”

“I swear we should just move together. Live together.” He laughed.

“We should” I laughed back.

“Except I can’t come on a plane anymore” He coffed into the phone.

“Old age my friend.” I laughed.

“Too old to do that anymore”

“So how are you going with the nursing home? Have you found one” I asked.

“Yes, found a nice one. You know I won’t be around forever” He laughed.

“Yes you will. To me you will”

“Well I need to see you soon. When was the last time I saw you?” He asked.

“2 years ago when I came for Harry’s thing” I smiled to myself.

“Well it’s been too long. You need to come soon”

“I will, absolutely”

“Caitlin”

“Yes Louis”

“I miss you” I could hear him whimper.

“Louis if you’re crying I swear” I laughed wiping away my own tears.

“Can’t a cousin miss his cousin?” He laughed.

“Yeah, well you know Rachel, Edward’s wife?” I asked.

“Yeah of course, beautiful lady”

“Well it’s her son Michael’s wedding in a few days so after the wedding I’ll try and book a flight to come and see you” I smiled into the phone.

“THAT WOULD BE THE BEST!” He said loudly.

“But don’t overdo yourself old man.” I laughed at him.

“I won’t” he laughed.

“Well I’ll help you sort out a nursing home and yeah”

“That’d be amazing”

“I’ll tell you the details of the flight in a few days.” I said.

“Well then I guess I’ll call you tomorrow.” He sneezed into the phone. “Sorry”

“Haha, no worries” I laughed. “Talk to you tomorrow”

“Bye”

“I’ll be here...” I said.

“Forever... I promise” He laughed before hanging up.

I sat on the lounge and watched TV for the rest of the day. I took a bit of my time looking on the internet for airfares to Paris but I couldn’t find any cheep ones.

I went to bed that night writing in my diary like I did every night. I’d written every night for the past 80 years. It was me and Harry’s thing.
